A few weeks ago, I was sent a Kabob Skewer Rack from Cave Tools. The rack & skewers are stainless steel and the skewers are able to turn in 8 different positions giving you 360 degrees of rotation. Each skewer is flat, ensuring that the food stays put & doesn’t fall off. There is also a disk/slider that lets you easily remove the meat from the skewers as well. It will fit on any grill, is dishwasher safe, and comes with a 100% money back guarantee. I was very excited to try out the rack. We enjoy barbecuing and haven’t had a kabob rack in a long time. The last one we had literally melted the first time we used it, and never bought another one. The rack is very nice, sturdy, and well made. After giving a quick cleaning, we were ready to test it out. My husband marinated some beef and I set it on the skewers. The meat went on easily and I was able to space it out a little. Once my husband put it on the grill, it didn’t take too long for it to cook. He was able to easily ...

Product Review – Insulated Lunch Bag
Last week, I was sent an Insulated Lunch Bag with adjustable shoulder strap from Sacko to try out and review. The bag has two zippered compartments (the main one & a front pocket), several mesh pockets, and the adjustable strap. I was excited to try this since the handle on my daughter’s school lunch bag broke off. The adjustable strap would make it a lot easier for her to carry it into school. Her other bag had to be clipped to her backpack with a carabiner, which is why the handle tore off. The bag is a good size, and has plenty off room for containers & snacks. I had no problem getting everything into the bag for her lunch. In fact, it ended up looking kind of empty. I think the only issue I have found with it is that it doesn’t seem to have a lot of insulation in it. I normally use a large cold pack in order to keep her drink & sandwich cool, but my daughter said that the bag was kind of warm by the time she ate. It’s not as much of an issue for her since I don’t ...
Product Review – Brieftons Manual Food Chopper
A few weeks back, I was sent a Brieftons Manual Food Chopper to try out and review. The chopper holds up to 3 cups and is operated by a pull handle. It also comes with several eBooks full of recipes as well. I did not think much of this chopper when I first took it out of the box and looked at it. The blades did not look like they would cut anything, and I honestly expected them to break on the first use. I decided to try it out with some onions. I cut the slices into smaller sections so that they wouldn’t get stuck or wedged. After securing the lid, I gave the handle a few pulls. To say I was shocked by how well it did is an understatement. The blades went through them as though they were butter…I couldn’t believe it. With only a few pulls, the onions were chopped to the size I normally cut them to. It saved time and I didn’t have to worry about my eyes watering. With a few more pulls, I had them minced to the consistency I use for fried rice. Again, it only took me a few ...
Product Review – Stainless Steel Compost Bin
A few weeks back, I was sent a Stainless Steel Compost Bin by Estilio to try out and review. The bin holds up to a gallon of waste & comes with carbon filters that fit inside the lid. The inside wall are smooth so that foods & liquids do not stick, and no chemicals will leach into the compost. I’ve seen a lot of these popping up online & in stores lately. I have attempted to do outdoor compost bins & piles in the past without much success, so I was interested in seeing if an indoor bin on the countertop would work better for me. I was happy to find that it did. The carbon filters are already inserted in the lid when you take it out of the box, and I quickly discovered how well they work. Over the course of several days, I managed to fill the bin up over halfway with stuff. Now, I don’t have a lot of counter space, so I was keeping it on the small bit of useless counter directly behind my sink…that way it was out of the way until I needed up. And like most of the ...
Product Review – Extra Large Picnic Blanket w/ Waterproof Backing
A few weeks back, I was sent an extra-large picnic blanket with waterproof backing from Pratico Outdoors to try out and review. The blanket is 60 in by 80 in and easily folds down to the size of a purse. The one I received was blue & white. We do a lot of outside activities & take at least one trip to the beach each year, so I was very excited to try this out. The first time I spread it all the way out, I was really surprised at how big it was. It’s huge! My husband, daughter & I were able to sit on it with lots of room left over. We could have easily had a few more people sit on it with us. It is pretty soft & comfortable too. It also folds up very small and has a carry handle, you can take it anywhere. What I like most is the backing. It’s waterproof and it helps keep the dirt and leaves form sticking to/through the blanket. It’s especially nice to have at the beach this week since we can sit on it and not get all sandy. Overall, it’s a great item that you ...
Product Review – Ecooda & KastKing Products
A few days ago, I was also to try out and review several products from Ecooda & KastKing. Both carry a wide range of fishing gear. I was also to pick out several spools of fishing line, as well as a baitcasting reel. Ecooda Tiro Pro Series Caster Round Baitcasting Reel I got the Tiro-50A Right Handed. It really looks like one of the reel that Jeremy Wade uses on River Monsters, which I think is really cool. This is my first time using a baitcasting reel, and I wasn’t too sure how hard it was going to be to use. It’s relatively the same as a boat reel, which I’ve used many times when deep sea fishing, but smaller & you can cast it out. The reel itself is very nice & very high quality. It’s fairly easy to get the line attached and loaded. It held a good amount of 8lb test, which is perfect for all types of fishing. It took me a little while to get the hang of casting it without getting any backlash. It casts & reels in smoothly. My dad spent a better part of ...
