A few weeks back, I was invited to try out CanvasPop. CavansPop let you create canvas prints with your photos. They have a ton of canvas sizes and options, and can even retouch your images for you. I got to design a 16x24 canvas. The process is very easy. You simply upload your image and then select your options. Sizes will be based on what is a good option for the size & resolution of the image you are using. I actually used a photo I took on my cell phone of my daughter. I cleaned it up and adjusted the size & resolution on my computer so that it would fit a larger canvas. I was a little worried that it might look blurry once it was printed. To finish it up, I opted for the black boarder around the edges. About a week or so later, my canvas arrived. I was really shocked at how great it looked. You wouldn’t know it was a cell phone image. It looks like I took it will my regular camera. The best thing about the canvas is that it comes with the hanging hardware already ...

Informucate.com – A New Place for News
There are thousands of news sites around these days. They cover tons of news items, including local news, international news, entertainment, and politics worldwide. With so much to choose from, it can get pretty tiring trying to shift through thousands of headlines on a single sight just to find one thing in particular. However, there is a new site that is worth taking a look it. It's called Informucate.com, and it's about to change the way you get your news. Informucate.com posts only 12 stories each day. Each story is a top headline for the day and hand selected by the editors. The articles themselves are only about 200 words, and get right to the point of the story. As an added bonus, they include explanations of jargon, concepts, and key terms next to the stories in plain sight in a box...giving you extra insight. For example, they will tell you who each celebrity is on the daily 'Celebrity News' story, or explain out tech terms used in the 'Tech Report'. All of the ...
Product Review – SmartCoffee
A few weeks ago, I was invited to try out the SmartCoffee App. The app was created by the found of Thanksgiving Coffee Company, Paul Katzeff. With it, you can pick out the flavors, acidity, & taste that you like and it will suggest the perfect coffee for you. The app also has a coffee glossary, a blend archive of all the blends recommended for you, a blending tool that shows you how to create a custom blend from the bulk coffee at the supermarket, and much more. Now, I’m gonna let you in on a secret: I don’t drink coffee. This is why I review so much tea here on the site. About the only coffee I will drink, on limited occasions, is either Waffle House coffee or the Maxwell House International Latte power stuff (and even that is drowned in so much frothed milk that there is very little coffee left to taste). The idea behind the app intrigued me and being a non-coffee drinker, I wanted to see if it would pick out something that I would actually like. I used the app on their ...
Product Review – Vehicle Magnetic Sign from BannerBuzz
Last week, I was contacted by BannerBuzz.com and asked to try out and review one of their vehicle magnetic signs. All of the signs are customizable, and you can easily upload your own artwork or use their design tool on their website. I got to design at 12x6 sign. I ended up using Photoshop to design my sign since I had to recreate the blog banner into a larger version of the link button. I ended up splitting the sign; one half being for my design site, the other for this blog. There are a few file specifications you will need to know if you are uploading your own, like having the image between 600 – 1200 dpi. You can see the full requirements here. I didn’t go through their upload process, as the rep had me send my file to how directly with all my info. A few days later I had my new car sign. They shipped it in a sturdy shipping tube, which I can use to store it when I’m not using it. It came out looking great. Since it’s kind of narrow, I will be putting it on the back of my ...
Product Review – BooksTo.Me
A few weeks back, I was invited to try out BooksTo.Me. BooksTo.Me lets you print out your Instagram images into a hardcover book. You can choose between getting a book monthly or one every three months. You also have the option of excluding photos by tagging them with #noBTM. Sign up was pretty simple. I picked out my subscription plan (which was monthly), then authorized them to access my Instagram account, and then filled in my info. It took only a few minutes. After that, you have 24 hours to tag any photos that you don’t want included in the book before it gets printed. I personally don’t post a whole lot to my Instagram, so I ended up going on a posting spree to ensure that I had a good number of images to be printed. I think I posted around 40 or so for the month of October. For a monthly book you need to have at least twenty, and can have up to 320. I got the book in about a week. All of the pictures came out nice and the book is very well made. It even has a sleeve on the ...
Give Some #BouqLove with The Bouqs
There are lots of occasions when flower bouquets are need. Aside from the typical occasion, like weddings, they can be very nice decorations for holidays. The quickest way to order flowers is online, but that can sometimes lead to irritation. Most of the time, the flowers are all stored on trucks if it’s a holiday and the flowers can be in bad shape by the time they arrive. We had that happen one time on Mother’s Day. My dad ordered flowers for my grandmother and they arrived at her door half dead. But now there is a great new alternative. You can order from The Bouqs. The Bouqs has been seen on seen on Shark Tank, O! Oprah Magazine, Forbes, E!, The Today Show, and Popsugar. They own their own farm and grow their flowers in rich soil from an active volcano. Since you are ordering directly from them, there is no middle man, which means you flowers will arrive faster and in great condition. Plus, this saves you a lot of money. Unlike other flower companies, The Bouqs chargers a $40 ...
