A few weeks ago, Ozeri asked me to check out their Ozeri ProMax 500 lbs Digital Bath Scale. This scale has a tempered glass top and a digital face. It runs on 3 AAA batteries, and also included a tape measure and a fat caliper. I have reviewed several scales so far for Ozeri and all of them have been great. My favorite has been the Weightmaster II Bath Scale, which I no longer have. However, this new one is every bit as good even though it doesn’t have a lot of the same features. Now, this scale does have some weight to it so be careful not to drop it on your foot. I speak from experience. I dropped it white trying to get it out of the box. It’s not pleasant and I do not wish that sort of embarrassment (or pain) one anyone. The scale itself is pretty simple. Stand on it and get your weight in a few seconds…whether you are ready for it or not. The display screen is backlit, making the (dreaded) numbers that much clearer to read. The glass can support up to 500 lbs. and ...

Product Review – Cel-Lab Pedometer and Activity Tracker Band
Last week, I was sent a Cel-Lab Pedometer and Activity Tracker Band to test out and review. The tracker is a small device that you charge by hooking to your computer via a USB charger. You can then slip it into the band once charged. It connects to your phone through Bluetooth and will work with Android and Apple devices. The device tracks steps and sleep, and also has an alarm function. I was very interested in trying this out because I have been looking for an inexpensive alternative for my Jawbone UP24, which recently went the way of the Monty Python parrot. The device is pretty small and come with a special holder so you can charge it. I let it charge overnight and then slipped it into the band. My mom wanted to try it out first, so I installed the tracking app (J-Style Health) on her phone. To our dismay, it didn’t work and never even saw the band. She wore the band for a day or so and I kept trying to sync it, but didn’t have any luck. Surprisingly, I was able to get it to ...
Product Review – Bath Bomb Gift Set
Last week, I was asked to try out and review the Bath Bomb Gift Set from TorgugaLife. The set comes with 6 bath bombs and a bottle of bubble bath soap, and comes is a round box. Each bath bomb is 4.5 ounces and can be used in foot spas, bathtubs, and jet spas. The bombs also won’t leave rings around the tub. I don’t take a lot of baths anymore, but I do enjoy using bombs and soaks when I do take them. The bombs are very big and fizzed for quite a while. I’m congested so I wasn’t able to smell it very well, but everyone else said it smelled nice. The bomb made the water feel silky and the bath was very enjoyable. My skin was also very soft afterwards as well. The best thing (for me anyway) is that it didn’t irritate my skin, which is very sensitive. Overall, this is a very nice bath bomb set. I’m looking forward to using the other and trying out the bubble bath too. This would definitely make a great last-minute Christmas gift. It’s available on Amazon for $31.50 (+ ...
Product Review – ChiroDoc Coccyx Cushion
A few weeks ago, I was sent a Coccyx cushion from ChiroDoc to try out and review. The cushion is designed to help reduce back pain. It’s made from memory foam, and relieves pain by relieving direct stress & pressure from your tailbone. I recently started working a full time desk job and I never realized how uncomfortable sitting for long periods could be. I never really noticed it at home since I could get up and move around when I needed to. I decided to try it out at home first before taking it into work with me. The cushion is very soft to the touch and comfortable. I noticed right away that my posture was better. I don’t feel the need to slouch in order to get comfortable in my chair. I’ve used it now for about two weeks for at least a few hours each day. So far, it’s hasn’t flattened out or gotten lumpy. My daughter really likes it too and is constantly trying to use it as a pillow. Overall, the cushion has been very nice so far. It’s comfortable and my back ...
Product Review – Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer
Last week, I was sent a bottle of Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer from Valentia. It is a lightweight cream that helps lighten dark spots, restores radiance, and evens skin tone. It also diminishes fine lines and provides all day hydration. It comes in a 4oz pump bottle. I have always been very pleased with Valentia products in the past, and this one is no different. I only had to use a small amount to cover my face & neck. It has a pleasant smell, though I haven’t been able to smell it myself too well because I have a nasty sinus infection. It didn’t irritate my skin at all, and left it feeling very smooth & soft. Due to being sick, I haven’t gotten to use it much. I’ve probably only gotten to use it a few times so far, so it’s hard to tell how it will work long-term. However, it definitely makes a difference on how bright my skin looks after using it. It’s very noticeable. I have also noticed it looks a tad more even tone wise as well. Overall, I haven’t ...
Product Review – Himalayan Salt Lamp
A few weeks back, I was sent a Himalayan Salt Lamp from Himalayan Salt Shop to test out and review. Essentially, the lamp is a large chunk of Himalayan salt that is hollowed so that you can place a light bulb in it. As the salt warms up from the heat of the bulb, it releases negative ions which helps remove pollen, dust, bacteria, and more from the air. It also offsets any positive ions from electronic equipment as well. I have always wanted one of these since the first time I saw some in a shop. They look really neat and give off a relaxing soft glow. When it first arrived, I was surprised at how heavy it was. It’s between 5 to 7 lbs, which is perfect to cover the room I have it in (covers 10ft x 10ft). I primarily turn it on in the evening a few hours before I get into bed, and then turn it off once I’m in bed and have read for a while. I placed it on the night stand next to my bed. I noticed a difference in the air quality after the first two days of using it. It ...
