I was recently asked to check out Books By You, a site that allows you to created custom book. You can pick between romanc, mystery, classics and teen stories, then create your own characters to be included. In essence, you are co-authoring a book. The site has quite a selection of books to choose from, including a large quantity of romance novels. I ened up picking out a mystery, called Fierce Moon. A woman finds herself pulled back in time to Victorian England, meets a handsome detective and inadvertently joins him in the search for a killer attacking victims in London. However, that detective is not all he seems to be... He's a werewolf and could very well be the killer they are after. Nice! Right up my alley. Once my book was picked, I got to create all my characters. I used myself for the heroine, only with a different last name, and used the name Jonathan Quincy for the detective. Everyone else was just random names and descriptions. It was also of fun, and the ...
Quick Update
I'm still sick, and I'm now kicking myself for not going to the doctor yesterday. I've been having coughing fits that are bad enought to nearly make me throw up, and my voice is all but gone. Hannah taking to running around with a tissue and blowing her nose everytime I blow mine. She also covers me up with one of her little blankets, climbs up on the couch with me and pats my head saying "It's okay mama". The good news is Jason is finaly getting a week of vacation! Hell has officially frozen over!!!! So, I can get some much needed bed rest this weekend and he can spend some quality time with Hannah. Hopfully I'll be back on my feet a bit on Monday, and if not, I will be able to get to the doctor.Blog wise, don't expect much to be going on here the next few days, unless something comes up. I spend a fair chunk of my day browsing the Internet. I always find stuff that I either forget to bookmark or bookmark and then loose in the long list of favorites. However, I've found a neat and very useful tool to help me keep track of everything: clipix. Clipix allows you to store all sorts of stuff on customized clipboards that you can revisit anytime you like. You can also share them with your friends and family, or even great a joint clipboard with multiple people. There is no program to download and it's totally free. To get Clipix, you simply visit their website and sign in via Twitter or Facebook. You then drag the clip button onto your Favorites bar and your ready to go. You start out with several general clipboards, like 'Book's I'd Like to Read' & 'General', that you can either delete or rename. As you browse the web, you can click the 'clip' button on you Favorites Bar when you see something you want to save. A little box pops up off to the side, and ...
