I was recently asked to check out Books By You, a site that allows you to created custom book. You can pick between romanc, mystery, classics and teen stories, then create your own characters to be included. In essence, you are co-authoring a book.
The site has quite a selection of books to choose from, including a large quantity of romance novels. I ened up picking out a mystery, called Fierce Moon. A woman finds herself pulled back in time to Victorian England, meets a handsome detective and inadvertently joins him in the search for a killer attacking victims in London. However, that detective is not all he seems to be… He’s a werewolf and could very well be the killer they are after. Nice! Right up my alley.
Once my book was picked, I got to create all my characters. I used myself for the heroine, only with a different last name, and used the name Jonathan Quincy for the detective. Everyone else was just random names and descriptions. It was also of fun, and the preview pages that were generated are absolutely wonderful. I can’t wait to get the full book in the mail.
Overall, Book By You is a very neat site. It’s a lot of fun and they make great gifts being that everyting is entirely customizable. A paperback book starts at $39.99 and a hardcover at $59.99 (both not including shipping). They are definitely worth checking out.
I received the above mentioned product for free from Book By You.
