I recently got to try out a letter pack from ArtisticLetters. ArtisticLetters was created by Jodi Gerber, who created the letters by taking photos of objects in nature that resembled the letters of the alphabet. The letters can be used for a number of projects, including decorations, cards, and scrap booking. For my project, I decided to make a door sign for Hannah's room. I bought a wood plaque at WalMart for 94¢ and painted it a light blue color. I then went through the collection of letters to pick out which ones I wanted to use. I also picked out a picture of a heart, which can also be used as an 'o', as well. I then placed them in a blank word document and arranged them how I wanted. It took me a few tries to get the size right and I adjusted the contrast a little. Once they were ready, I printed them out. Next, I cut out the letters and heart, and arranged them on the plaque. Then I used a glue stick to fix them in place. It was faster to make the ...

Product Review – Group Story
I was recently invited to try out Group Story. Group Story is a website that allows people creating a photo book have having everyone join a group and upload pictures. You can then choose which pictures go into the book, the page layouts, and even add text. When it's completed, everyone in the group can order one. The concept of the site is wonderful, and I was really looking forward to creating a book of Hannah's first year. However, there were a few issues that spoiled some of the experience. The website itself is very easy to navigate and use. There are step by step instructions for the entire creation process, so you can figure out how everything works pretty quick. After I first set up my account, I uploaded a few pictures. Uploading was quick and easy, and you an label the pictures if you want. I didn't bother with it, and moved onto testing out the page creator...which is where I hit my first snag. The applet that runs the page creator does not work in Internet Explorer. ...
Product Review – iCaughtTheEasterBunny.com
iCaughtTheEasterBunny.com allows you to place the Easter Bunny in any picture you might have. The site is part of the group that runs iCaughtSanta, which I reviewed last year. The site set up is exactly the same, except for the easter bunny. Once you upload your picture, you get to choose from several shots of the Easter Bunny. Once you find the one you want, simply adjust the size, color, and brightness. You can even rotate or flip it as needed. Once finished, you'll end up with a very convincing photo: Like their other sites, this is a wonderful idea if you have small children. The photos also make great gifts to friends and family. The cost is $9.99 and you can have them printed at various places. It's a great deal and sure to bring a smile to your child's face. To create your own, check out their website. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe ...
Product Review – TShirtPrinting.net
TShirtPrinting.net sent me one of their t-shirts to try and review. The company is located in the UK, but I think that they do take international orders. Their pricing varies on a case by case basis, and is determined by type & quality, number of shirts ordered, the prints per shirt, and the amount of colors used. They sent me a gray shirt with their mascot printed on it. The cloth is a very nice quality. The screen printing for the mascot is excellent. Their shirt sizes run very large, however. I normally were a large, and even thought they did warn me about the sizing, I still went with a large just to be on the safe size. The shirt fits, but wears like an extra large. Their website is also very easy to navigate. Overall, I'm very impressed with their product. I will definitely consider them if I'm ever in the market for getting some t-shirts printed. If your interested in getting a price quote and/or ordering, can visit their website. I received one or more of the ...
Product Review – StickerYou.com
StickerYou.com is a company that let's you make your own stickers. You can upload your own design, create a design with their Sticker Maker, or choose from tons of images readily available on their site. The stickers are die cut vinyl, and are easily removable. Most of the pictures I choose were from the baby section, and I was able to size them how I wanted...thus filling up the sheet. I used the Sticker Maker to create a sticker with the blog name on it. I used one of the images and placed text on top of it. The interface program is very easy to use, and I had my sheet created in a matter of minutes. The quality is exceptional, and I look forward to ordering more from them again soon. Single sheets are $8.99 (plus shipping/handling). The more you order, the cheaper it is. Standard shipping takes about five to fourteen days; I got mine in about seven. If your needing stickers or labels, then I definitely recommend them. You can check them out on their website, as well as ...
Product Review – groOrganic Garden Planner
groOrganic offers many services on their site, the most interesting of which is their garden planner. The garden planner is an online program that allows you draw out your garden plans, as well as input what your planning to grow. You are also able to view planting and harvesting dates specific to your area. It requires no download to use, but you do have to have a membership in the site. The application is very easy to use. First, you enter you zip code so that you can view your frost dates and edit your growing season attributes. I set mine to a split season since I can't grow anything during the hottest part of the summer. Next, you input the dimension of your garden and then drag and drop in your veggies. There are also several shape and text tools that allow you to make notes and mark out features. I used the rectangle tool to mark out the area where I have stepping stones. When I had the general layout out done, I spent some time changing up the veggies I had ...
