At the end of December, I was invited to check out JustEyeware.com. JustEyeware is a website/company where you can easily and quickly order regular glasses or sunglasses at discounted prices. If you have a prescription, all you have to do is enter in the info and you are good to go. If you don't have a prescription, then you can just have plain lenses too. Surfing on the website was fun, but shipping issues and a total lack of customer service completely ruined this experience. First off, let's start with browsing/shopping the site. They have a large selection of lenses to choose from and I didn't exactly know where to begin. I don't wear prescription glasses,so I decided to look at their sunglasses selection first . . . since I don't really need plain regular glasses. I prefer square frames, so I began my search there. Off to the side, they have a search box that allows you to easily narrow down your selections. I ran my search by square shape, full frames, and metal. That ...

Book Review – While I’m Still Myself
I was sent an early copy of Jeremy Mark Lane's new book, While I'm Still Myself. It's a collection of short stories discribing random encounters that make and change a person. There are seven stories total and 127 pages. The first story follows the relationship of a young couple. The second is the meeting between a new father and an eldery hospital patient. Another follows a teenage girl, running away from both her home and her own personal fears, and her budding friendship with a drifter. The next one is about five unlikely friends that band together to help each other deal with abusive homes. Fifth in the book is about a man who meets a past love of his mothers. The sixth story follows a slave owner trying to do right by his family and his slaves. The final story is about a disturbing incident during a boy's stay at his grandfather's farm. I'm not usually one to stray from my usual choice of sci-fi, thrillers and horror, but there was something about the synopsis that ...
My Memories Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
A few weeks back, I was asked to check out the MyMemories software. MyMemories is a digital scrapbooking software that allows you to create detailed digital scrapbooks. They are quick to make and less time consuming than making a regular paper scrap book, and you can share them with your friends and family easily. The program is pretty basic and easy to figure out. You can choose between using a template or creating your own with hundreds of images, assets, and fonts that are included with the software. You can also download more image/asset packs and templates from the website as well. Many of the packs are free, but they also have premium packs you can purchase that are very inexpensive. Plus, add in music and video...something that you can't do with a traditional scrapbook. If you go with the templates, then all you'll have to do for the most part is drop in your images and edit text. If you go with creating your own, however, you will be creating everything ...
Product Review – QuickShower Gym Wipes
A few weeks back, I was sent some samples of QwickShower Gym Class Wipes to review. The wipes were created by a father of three who wanted a way for his kids to clean up quick after sports pratice. The wipes are individually packed and are 10"x12". I was sent a sample pack consisting of two individual wipes. I had been expecting the regular 24 pack (which is what they infered we were getting). I wasn't really able to test this one out as much I wold have liked, but I had to make due with what I got. Anyway, the wipe itself is huge. It's around the size of a regular sheet of paper. The cloth is failry sturdy and withstands a good scrubbing. The texture is also nice. There was no heavy fragrence that I could smell, which is always a plus in my book. I left my skin feeling clean and freash. There were a few sticky spots, but nothing that I would consider off putting. Since the wipes are individually wrapped, the uses are endless. You can used them after a ...
Product Review – Magid EconoWear Shoe Covers
A few weeks back, I was sent some Magid EconoWear shoe covers. The covers tear and puncture resistant, and have elastic at the ankles. They are disposable and can be used for a large number of projects. The covers are available in various sizes, and easily slip over your shoes. I found them great for when I'm cleaning the floor. I can put them on over my socks or shoes and not have to worry about leaving foot prints. They are especially useful in the dining room where the floor is already messed up. It tends to stay sticky no matter what you do due to poor air circulation. The covers don't stick as much as socks do, so they are perfect. They are also great for DIY projects such as painting a room. Not only will they protect your shoes from paint drops, but you can take them off when your getting ready to leave the room and not run the risk of tracking paint everywhere. The uses are endless. Overall, the shoe covers are very useful. They can be used for all sorts of ...
Product Review – Vidazorb Super C
A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Vidazorb and asked to try out their one of their products. Vidazorb makes chewable probiotic tables that help your digestive system. They carry five different types of chewables. I choose to try out the Super C. The Super C formulation contains all the same ingredients as the Daily and Plus, but has add Vitamin C and is orange-pineapple flavor. It's good for boosting your overall immune strength, which is something I can always use being that I am allergic to almost all antibiotics. However, since I am allergic to a lot of stuff, I had to be a little cautious and keep an eye on myself (I usually start with a rash when I have a reaction). Thankfully, I had no issues with the first chewable. Each bottle has 90 tables and it's recommended that you take three a day. I started out with the three, but noticed that it may have been a bit much for me. On the second day, I ended up getting a bad stomach ache/crams after drinking a soda. I don't ...
