A few weeks back, Skinvolve sent me their Skinvolve Starter Kit to try out and review. The kit includes the Body Boost Gel (8 oz.) & the Body Karate Cream (8 oz.). The Body Boost Gel contains ginseng and green tea, & gives you tighter, smoother skin, free of lumps and bumps. The Body Karate Cream contains caffeine and argan oil, moisturizing & improving skin texture and tone. I started out using both on my legs, just to make sure that they wouldn’t aggravate my skin. The gel is used in the morning & evening. It has a light green color and smells wonderful. I noticed right away that my skin felt a lot firmer. I’ve been using it on my legs & arms. A little bit goes a long way, so you don’t have to use much to cover a large area. The cream is used after taking a bath or shower. It’s thick & white, and also has a very nice smell. Like the gel, you don’t need a lot. I used way too much the first time and it felt like I spent forever trying to get it all rubbed ...

Product Review – Vita Sciences Maxasorb Melatonin Cream
Last week, I was sent a 1.7 oz bottle of Vita Sciences Maxasorb Melatonin Cream to test out and review. The cream is designed to increase sleepiness, decrease the time needed to fall asleep, and increase sleep duration. One pump of the bottle gives you a night’s dose that you can rub on your arms or legs. One bottle contains 60 doses. I have severe insomnia and usually have to take a prescription in order to fall asleep. Lately I’ve been taking an over the counter sleep med, due to looking for a new doctor so I can get a new prescription. I’ve tried taking melatonin in the past, but after a while it became ineffective as my body got used to it. I was hoping that this cream might be a better alternative to what I have been using. The first night that I used it, I put it on the inside of both my arms. I had a really busy day to I was exhausted by the time I got into bed (sometime after 12:30). I’m not sure how long I was awake once I laid down, but I fell asleep pretty fast and ...
The Clearer Skin Challenge with Exposed Skincare
A few days ago, I was sent a The Exposed™ Basic Kit 60-Day 5-Piece Kit from Exposed Skincare to try out and review over a 60 days period. The kit includes a Facial Cleanser, Clearing Tonic, Acne Treatment Serum, Clear Pore Serum and the Derm-X Cloth. It’s made of dermatologist approved active ingredients & is an entry level acme treatment. I have really sensitive skin, & it doesn’t take much to aggravate it. I also have a horrible time with acne, even at 31 years old, so I’m always eager to try something out that might help with it. So far, I have been using it the past several days. There are basically two parts to this: the morning routine & the nighttime routine. The only difference between the two is that you use the Acne Treatment Serum during the day and the Clear Pore Serum at night. Due to the strength of the products, you have to start out using very little and slowly work your way up. It takes about two weeks for your skin to adjust to the products, and there ...
Product Review – Dandelion Root Tea
A few weeks ago, I was asked to try out & review KissMe Organic’s Organic Dandelion Root Tea. The tea contains dandelion root, cinnamon, and hibiscus. Dandelion root has Vitamins A, C, D and B-complex plus Iron, Potassium and Zinc, which will help treat mood disorders, liver disorders and boost a weakened immune system. Hibiscus has been shown to help with blood pressure and cinnamon helps reduce cholesterol and reduce blood sugar. I’ve never tried anything with dandelion in it before, so I wasn’t sure how good it’s going to be…especially since the pack I received had five boxes with 20 tea bags a piece in it. Now, after trying it, I will tell you that it is bitter if you drink it straight without anything in it to sweeten it. When I say bitter, I mean very bitter! I have to put a good scoop of sugar in it to be able to drink it. That probably reduces the some of the healthiness some, but I’m slowly trying to lessen how much I put it. I have been drinking at least once cup a ...
Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
Last week, I was sent a bottle of Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash to try out and review. The body wash contains Marula Oil, which deeply hydrates and nourishes skin while protecting it from skin-damaging free radicals. The body wash is amber in color and has a very pleasant smell. The first time I used it, I noticed right away that it creates a very thick lather. I normally use a lot of body wash to make sure that I have more than enough to wash with. With this, I don’t have to use quite as much since it makes so much lather. It left my skin feeling soft for the majority of the day. It also didn’t irritate my skin, which is always a plus. Overall, it’s a very nice body wash and definitely worth a try. It’s available in most stores, and you can find out about the rest of Dial’s body wash line by visiting their website. The Giveaway Three lucky readers can win a coupon good for one bottle of Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash (11.75oz or larger; coupon expires 5/31/2015). To enter, tell me ...
Product Review – Fé Fit Women’s 90-Day Workout Program
A few weeks back, I was sent the complete set of Fé Fit Women's 13-Week, 90-Day Workout Program to try out and review. It has 28 videos, each around 30 minutes, that are designed for women to help firm and tighten several areas and well as lose weight. The set comes with several flexible tracking calendars, so you can workout anywhere between 3 to 6 days a week. They also give you little charts and stickers that you can use keep track of where you are & also tells you which of the workouts you will be doing that day. You will also need a set of 3lb hand weights, Pilates ring, exercise band, and a mat (I don’t use the mat). All of those items can be easily found at Walmart. I’ve been trying to aim toward 6 days a week, but I have been inconsistent as far as when I have time to do it. Plus, I have to be careful how much of certain things I do, like squats and jumping, because I still can’t bend my knee all the way & it ends up hurting too bad. Luckily, the exercises can be ...
