November 5, 2018

To ensure that you can live a normal life, enjoying every moment with your family and friends, it helps to have a functional hearing. While there are many brands available, some stand out from the others in terms of range of offerings, quality, and customer reviews. To get you started in your research, consider these popular hearing aid brands. Miracle-Ear You will find plenty of quality hearing devices from Miracle-Ear, which is among the most popular brands and for good reason. There are multiple styles of hearing aids available from Miracle-Ear, making it possible to find the right one regardless of the cause or severity of your hearing loss. There are even custom-fit hearing aids and Miracle-Ear uses GENIUS 3.0 Technology that has additional processing power and is 100% rechargeable. Oticon Oticon is a hearing company that was founded in 1904 in Denmark. The founder, Hans Demant, wanted to assist Camilla, his wife, who dealt with a hearing impairment. Hans Demant’s son, ...

Solo- A Star Wars Story

Movie Review – Solo: A Star Wars Story

September 27, 2018

Solo: A Star Wars Story follows the journey of a young Han Solo as he begins to be a smuggler. Along the way he meets Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian, and flies the Millennium Falcon for the first time. It’s a story of adventure, love, and betrayal. There was a lot of hate for this movie, and I honestly don’t see why. It was a decent film. Granted, it wasn’t on the level of Rogue One…and backstory for Han really wasn’t needed. But it still didn’t deserve the amount of negativity it received. Donald Glover knocked it out of the park as Lando, and it was a huge treat to see Darth Maul. For me, the only issue was trying to figure out how old Han was through the movie. The plot covers about three years of his life, and it never actually says how old he was. I had to look it up while watching, and according to official Star Wars sites he is 19 at the beginning of the move and 22 after the time jump. Overall, it wasn’t a bad movie. It was entertaining and enjoyable. I really hope ...

The Flash - The Complete Fourth Season

TV Review – The Flash: The Complete Fourth Season

September 7, 2018

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own. The Flash: The Complete Fourth Season picks up with Barry still trapped in the speed force. When Central City is threatened by a new powerful villain, Cisco works to free him. With Barry free, Clifford DeVoe, aka The Thinker, begins a deadly game with Team Flash and is always ten steps ahead. Will they be able to outmaneuver him? Season 4 was full of action and I really enjoyed it. Hartley Sawyers portrayal of Ralph Dibny (aka The Elongated Man) made the entire season. It was spot on the comics. The Thinker was great too, though I didn’t think much of Marlize DeVoe. A lot of her scenes came off as forced and she could have at least gotten a decent villain outfit that didn’t involve her looking like she had greasy hair. Cecile's sudden telepathic abilities were hilarious, especially once she started truing into everyone. And Danny Trejo ...

Arrow - The Complete Sixth Season

TV Review – Arrow: The Complete Sixth Season on Blu-Ray

August 23, 2018

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in the Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own. Arrow: The Complete Sixth Season picks up after the explosion on Lian Yu at the end of Season 5. Oliver must now embrace a new role: being a father. Juggling this new responsibility along with being mayor and the Green Arrow will put Oliver to the test as enemies close in on all sides. Arrow season 6 is a wild ride with a lot going on. It’s a bit hard to keep up with at times, but worth watching the entire season in one go. There was a lot of Oliver/Felicity going, with the two of them finally getting married at the end of the Legends, Flash, and Supergirl cross over event (which was awesome, even though they killed off half of Firestorm). Personally, I’ve gotten a little sick of Olicity so I’m hoping that the darker tone of the upcoming season will tone that down a little. I was sad to see Paul Blackthorne leave at the end of the season, ...

BBQ Grill Pan

Product Review – Cave Tools BBQ Grill Pan

August 15, 2018

A few weeks back, I was asked to try out Cave Tool’s new BBQ grill pan. This flat pan has two sections: one that’s solid and one that has slats for grill marks. It’s made of durable stainless steel and measures 15.3 by 13 inches. We recently bought a new charcoal grill after our gas grill finally wore out (replacement parts cost more than a brand new grill!). This pan is large enough to cover a good portion of the grill rack, and is excellent. So far we have cooked steaks, fish, burgers, and more. Nothing has stuck to it yet, and it easily cleans off. It still looks brand new even after over a dozen uses. The cool thing about this pan is that it’s very similar to those flexible grill mats that are popular right now, but more sturdy. You can pretty much cool anything on it, even eggs and bacon. We are really looking forward to using it on our next comping trip. Overall, I can’t point out how awesome this bbq grill pan is. You can purchase the grill pan on Amazon or from the ...

Tips for Finding Vacation Rentals in North Carolina

July 15, 2018

There are many rentals available in North Carolina. As we enter into the summer months, many people are deciding to take a trip to North Carolina. However, with all of the activities going on most of the hotels are filled up for the summer. This means people will have to rely on rentals. For those who do not know where to find the best rentals, there are a few techniques you can use. Talk To People Who Have Been There If you are vacationing in North Carolina this year, chances are you know someone who has vacationed there in the recent past. You should speak to these individuals and find out where their rental was, how much they spent, what was included, and any other important details. Use The Internet As A Tool You should also use the Internet as a tool to search for websites where you can purchase a rental for the summer or parts of the summer. With all the scams going on today, it is important that the website you visit have extremely high ratings and great reviews. An example ...
