Disney’s Big Hero 6: The Series – Back in Action takes place just before the end of the hit Big Hero 6, following Hiro Hamado as he rebuilds Baymax and works to protect San Fransokyo with his friends. This collection of episodes includes the first 7 episodes of the series and also 6 shorts featuring Baymax and the team. I loved Big Hero 6 and have been super excited to see the series when they announced it last year. The series is every bit as enjoyable as the movie and my daughter and I both love it. I think our favorite episode is Food Fight, where Aunt Cass gets addicted to competing in underground cooking competitions. It was a hilarious take on Iron Chef and there is even a nod to Gordon Ramsay. In a reversal of roles, Aunt Cass sneaks out at night to compete, with Hiro having to be the responsible one and go out to find her. Overall, the series is off to a great start and I can’t wait to watch more episodes. I really hope that they will make a sequel movie soon as well. Big ...
Trips for Planning Travel Trips
Many media outlets are reporting that people are shopping in malls less. Now, the consumer statistics show that many are purchasing travel packages and experiences over material goods. If you've never traveled before, it's never too late to start. Consider these four fun tips to develop your traveling hobby. 1. Plan ahead. When you plan ahead of the experiences you want, you'll have a better chance of getting it at a price that works for your budget. Plus, it's also a good idea to join the email lists of different travel websites. They'll send you emails to let you know which flights and vacations are on sale. When you're able to plan in advance, it also allows you to have something to really look forward to. 2. Use a credit card. If you're not disciplined with money, do not use a credit card. However, a travel credit card can be really beneficial for credit card points and perks. As you accumulate more points, you'll be able to use them to purchase flights, vacations, hotels and ...
A Wrinkle In Time Review and Giveaway [ENDED]
Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time, based on the award winning novel by Madeleine L’Engle, follows a young girl named Meg who is trying to deal with the loss of her father. Her father disappeared under mysterious circumstances when she was younger, and is bullied by classmates because of this. Her gifted younger brother, Charles Wallace, is ostracized as well. After meeting Mrs. Watsit, Meg finds herself, her brother, and a friend whisked off to rescue her father. This movie had a lot of things going for, including stunning visuals and an A-list cast. However, they quickly became so distracting that the plot and the message got lost almost from the beginning. It did kind of follow the book for the most part. It’s been a long time since I read it. I will say that I was disappointed that they made Mrs. Watsit turn into a giant flying artichoke instead of a horse. Overall, I had a hard time sitting though it but my daughter did enjoy it for the most part. A Wrinkle In Time is available now ...
Product Review – Newdermo Electric Shaver
Last week, I was sent an electric shaver from Newdermo to try out and review. The shaver is waterproof, allowing you to shave in the shower and can be used on all parts of the body. It comes with a cleaning brush. I have been on a quest to find a good electric razor because I am tired of wasting a ton of money on disposables and replacement heads. Plus I need a quick way to take care of my legs in the mornings before going to work. I was hoping that this razor might work. I was sorely disappointed. When it arrived, the box had water damage. It looked like it had been partially submerged at some point. It’s supposed to be waterproof, so I figured there wouldn’t be an issue. Put in two AAA batteries, and it didn’t turn on. I tired multiple set and was never able to get it to turn on. So, I can’t really recommend this one since it didn’t work. I don’t know if the issue is because it was wet at some point, or if it’s a battery terminal issue. I’m in the process of returning it to ...
