Child Killer Was Working at My Local Walmart
Holy Crap! My mom was listening to Mike Gallagher a little while ago and found out that one of the cashiers at the Terrell Walmart was Dena Schlosser, the woman who in 2004 hacked off her bady daughter's arms off after being told to do so by God. She was found not guilty by reason of insanity. She was institutionalized for several years and eventually let out on outpatient status. That was revoked in 2010 and she was readmitted to Terrel State, a few blocks away from our house. She is now back out on outpatient status and was hired at Walmart in June. However, she used a different last name to get hired. I'm assuming that she knew she would fail the background check. The story broke last week when a shopper snapped a picture of her after regonizing her. Mrs. Schlosser, going be the name Laettner, was fired sometime over the weekned. The state decalred that she isn't a threat and I'm all for getting people rehabilitated and all, but still... It's really unsettling. Being that ...

Chalk City Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
Last week, I was sent a Chalk City Activity Kit. The kit come with a variety of toys: a road maker, a set of 3 road sign stencils, a set of 3 obstacle course stencils & 20 pieces of chalk. The kit encourages your children to go outside and play while having fun. This was Hannah’s first experience with sidewalk chalk. She picked out one of the pink pieces. Due to the horrible heat wave, she had to play with everything on the porch so she was out of the sun and I could easily get her in when she got too hot. She’s had a blast tracing and coloring in the stencils. She has also enjoyed playing with them in the house was well. The road maker is pretty neat too. It folds out and holds the two pieces of chalk to make a path. We haven’t gotten to play with it much yet, but are planning on using it in the driveway once the heat lets up a bit. When she’s not using the stencils, she’s been drawing smiley faces and playing tic-tac-toe. The chalk pieces are the big think ones so she ...

I've had a fairly busy week so far. I've been working on several book covers for my friend Trana, so I've gotten a bit behind on posts. There are two more to finish tonight, and then I can get going on some product reviews & a new giveaway.Oh, the doctor visit for my knee when okay. I'm on my last ditch effort to avoid the knee surgery. I had to get the funky knee brace and will have to go for another 6 weeks of phyisical therapy. After that, if it's still not any better then I'll have to do the surgery. ...
