A week ago, I was sent some Tombow craft glue. Tombow craft glue is an all-purpose adhesive tape that can be used for a variety of projects. It’s excellent for scrapbooking, paper crafts and more. The glue comes in a small tape dispenser that easily fits in the palm of your hand. When you’re ready to use it, you flip down the lid/flap on the end of the dispenser. Then you firmly press down and move it in the direction/area you want the tape to be. You need to make sure that you are using it on a flat surface and that you’re applying even pressure. If you let up on it at all, the tape won’t transfer down and you will get gaps. It’s pretty similar to White-Out tape or pens. The tape holds up pretty well. The adhesive is strong, but you can still pull something up if you need to reposition it. I was also to peel and re-stick folded paper multiple times. If you needed to leave a note on your door that you would be able to pull back off later, this would be perfect. I intend to ...

Product Review – Cesar Cookie Crunchies Treats for Small Dogs
Two weeks ago, I received a few bags of the new Cesar Cookie Crunchies dog treats. Cookie Crunchies are baked, bite-sized treats that are only 10-calories. They come in two flavors: fillet mignon and rotisserie chicken. We love our two dogs and consider members of our family. When they aren’t chasing opossums or squirrels around, they are supper affectionate and excellent guard dogs. We always make sure to give them healthy food and the best dog treats that we can find. They usually tend to be a bit picky about food, so I wasn’t too sure if they were going to like the dog biscuits or not. However, they went crazy over them. I ended up have to bring them out more since Brownie ate up most of the first ones before Tobi was able to get to them. Out of the two flavors, they seem to like the fillet mignon the best. The best part is that the treats are small and just the perfect size for them. Overall, the Cookie Crunchies are a huge hit. I’m definitely going to get ...
Book Review – S.A.S.S. Yourself Slim by Cynthia Sass
Last week, I was sent a copy of S.A.S.S. Yourself Slim by Cynthia Sass. The diet book has been a New York Times best-seller, and has just released a paperback edition. The plan covers 30 days and is in two parts. The first part is a 5-day Fast Forward option that can help you lose up to 8 pounds. These second part covers the rest of the month and gets you onto a set eating schedule with lots of great food choices. There is quite a bit to this plan, so I'm just going to hit the basics. The core of the diet plan is called the 5-Piece Puzzle. You learn to structure you’re meals around having one item from each of these groups: produce, whole grains, lean portion, plant-based fat and SASS (usually a spice). The book has numerous recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. All you have to do is pick the ones you want to eat for the day, and then stick with it. It also covers all the foods you can eat, and all the ones you can’t. Foods that are cut include red meat, soda, ...
Product Review – KnowPhone.com
A few weeks ago, I was invited to try out KnowPhone.com. KnowPhone is a reverse lookup site that allows you to not only look up phone numbers, but find people, emails, and public & criminal records. I was giving a Platinum Pass membership so that I could check out the site and see how stuff works. I get a lot of wrong number and telemarketer calls, so I’m pretty used to looking up numbers on the Internet. I searched several of them on the site. I was able to get the carrier name and general location, but I was unable to get actual reports. When I tried to get the reports, it came up telling me I needed a membership to the site…which I already have. I then searched them through Google and came up with companies, if they were telemarketers, and what they were trying to sell. The next thing I tried was looking up my own information. Surprisingly, other than finding my parents address, there was nothing. I didn’t find anything on my husband or other family members either. ...
Movie Review – Otter 501
Last week, I received a screener copy of the film Otter 501. The film was produced by Sea Studios Foundation, and follows the story of a baby sea otter and the young woman who found her. While staying in Monterey Bay, aspiring marine biologist Kate comes across a baby sea otter that has been washed up on shore. After the otter is rescued, Kate become curious about what will happen to it and eventually visits SORAC, the Sea Otter Research and Conservation center at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. From there, she becomes involved with the sea otter program and watches on as the baby sea otter she found, now called Otter 501, learns what she needs to in order to survive out in the wild. The story is very good, and there is a plethora of interesting information about the conservation efforts for sea otters. I had no idea that they are as endangered as they are. At one point, there were only 50 left. Thankfully, their numbers have since risen, but there are still only around 2,500 or so. ...
PhoneFetcher Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
Two weeks ago, I was sent a PhoneFetcher. The PhoneFetcher is an elastic cord that attaches to your phone and then clips to something so that you don’t lose it. One end of the PhoneFetcher is an alligator clip and the other end is a small plastic plug to goes into the headset/earphone outlet. It can attach to anything, and makes it supper easy to find your phone in any bag or purse. I’m constantly losing my phone down in the diaper bag, and I usually have to dump the entire thing out to find it. This is especially annoying when I’m carrying Hannah around. I know that all you fellow mommy’s out there feel my pain. So, needless to say, I was extremely excited to try this one out. When my PhoneFetcher finally arrived, I immediately put it to work. The plug easily & snuggly fit into my Samsung Galaxy S smartphone, and I then clipped it to the inside of the diaper bag. I was then able to easily pull my phone out when shopping. All I had to do was tug on the cord, and out came ...
