TV Review – Southern Charm

A few days ago, I was invited by Sverve to live tweet during this weeks new episode of Southern Charm.  Southern Charm is a new reality series on Bravo that follows six friends, all from aristocratic & super rich families. I have never watched the show before, let alone heard of it.  After checking out the official website, I thought that I would be ready to jump in at mid-season and be able to follow along.  Nope.  I could barely keep up with the all of the drama going on between the characters.  Basically, all the main cast does is eat, drink & go through sexual partners like I go through socks.  The guys are all in their 30s & 40s, and pine after 20 year olds…mostly because they are too immature to attract women their own age. The episode focused mostly on the relationship between Thomas & Kathryn.  Kathryn is actually a non-cast member who is only on the show because she is dating Thomas.  She ends up stealing the spotlight from the two main female leads ...

Product Review – The World’s Most Beautiful Places Blu-ray

I was recently sent a few copies of one of the Living Landscapes HD Collection from HD Enviromnents.  HD Environments works to bring high definition digital art in homes and public places.  The disks features stunning footage from around the world set to original music from award winning composers. I was sent The World's Most Beautiful Places in both Blu-ray and DVD.  It is composed of several short segments from 9 of their programs.  I started out watching the Blu-ray first.  Once the video began, I was absolutely shocked at the image quality.  The picture was breathtaking.  It felt like I was standing right there in the forest.  The total length of the video is 75 minutes, but I could spend all day replaying the Costa Rica segment.  You can also watch clips from the Pacific Coast, Rocky Mountain, Hawaii, Olympic Rainforest, Bali, and more.  The DVD copy doesn't quite have the clarity of the Blu-ray, but it still looks almost as good.
