Product Review – Witch Costumes from Anytime Costume
A week ago, I was invited to pick out a costume from Anytime Costumes. Anytime Costumes is an online site that sells costumes, wigs, makeup and other accessories. After browsing the site, I picked out a costume for my daughter. The costume I picked out was a Halloween Candy Inspired Sorcerer, or a Candy Corn Witch. It consists of a dress and matching hat. There is a matching broom available that you can buy separately. The dress is black on top, and the skirt is layered in white, orange & yellow. The hat is also white, orange & yellow, making it look like a piece of candy corn. The dress is very well made and the fabric is very nice. It all comes in a sturdy zip up garment bag to protect it. My daughter looks absolutely adorable in it and can’t wait for Halloween to come so she can wear it. I was a little worried that it would be too big for her since I got it in a child’s small (fits 4 – 6) & she normally wears a 5T in tops and 4T in bottoms (depending on the ...
Product Review – Music in Motion CD
I was recently sent a copy of Grove Kid Nation's newest CD, Music in Motion. Groove Kid Nation is a children's music label founded by Rodney Lee. The idea behind the label is to introduce young children to various musical instruments by listening to fun kids songs. Music in Motion features the Kool Catz, who preform the music and guide children in dances and learning. I was interested in listening to the music, but didn't know what to expect. Most of the kids stuff I've heard before are either goofy and weird, or like that Kidz Bop crap (half of the songs on Kidz Bop aren't even appropriate for kids...not matter how much they water down the lyrics). However, the CD far exceeded my expectations. Surprisingly, all of the songs are mostly original jazz and funk compositions. I found myself swaying with the beat of the music from the moment it started. Even Hannah got into it and was dancing around the kitchen. The songs feature a variety of instruments, including drums, ...
Product Review – KidSwitch
KidSwitch is a light switch extender that glows in the darks. It's makes it easier and safer for your children to turn their lights on and off. It works for both toggle and decora switches. To attach it to a toggle switch, all you have to do is remove the normal screws from the faceplate, affix the KidSwitch, and then screw in the new screws provided with the KidSwitch. To install one for a decora switch, all you have to do is stick on an adapter. There's no messing around with screws. I absolutely love the KidSwitch. It only took a few seconds to install and Hannah is already learning to use it. I also like that it glows in the dark. It makes it easier for me to find the light in the middle of the night. It sells for $8.95 for a toggle, and $9.95 for a decora. They also offer multi-packs at great prices. You can purchase them at the KidSwitch website. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. All options are 100% my own. ...
Product Review – Story Time For Me
Story Time For Me is a website that has online children's books for toddlers and young readers. Once you choose the story you want to read, the player displays it like a book. You can turn the page and interact it with it. As the narrator reads the story, the words are highlighted. The pages are also animated, which can be toggled on or off. The sign up process was quick and easy, while the website is a breeze to navigate. The prices are good ss well. If you only want to buy one book, it's $8 however. But, if you get the packs, the prices are a lot better. You only have to pay for a story once. It will be added to your story list and you be able to access it whenever you want. The site also offers a kids safe internet browser, and well as friendly forums that are monitored 24 hours a day. I thought that the stories were very cute and my daughter seemed to enjoy them. I know that she will get a lot of use out of them once she gets a little older. As a special offer to all my ...
Product Review: SmartKnitKIDS Seamless Socks
For the past two weeks, I have been trying out SmartKnitKIDS seamless socks. I received an adult pair for myself and two pairs for Hannah. The socks are seamless and form fitting, so they do not slide down with wear. After wearing them, I must they that they are absolutely wonderful. Hananh always has a tendency to pull off her socks or just simply wiggle out of them. With the SmartKnitKIDS, she was unable to do so. In fact, they didn't bother her one bit. I myself usually buy the ankle cut socks since the crew socks always slide down. These stayed up even while exercising. They will be great to wear with jeans once it gets colder. The other great thing about them is that my feet didn't sweat in them at all. In fact, I intentionally wore them three days in a row to test out the claim that fibers in the sock inhibits odor. Sound gross, I know, but I usually end up having to change my socks a few times a day due to getting wet and grimy. The SmartKnitKIDS beat my expectations by a ...
