Summers seem to get getting longer and hotter these days. Once the temperatures warm up, people are outside in the pool, at the beach, camping and doing other outdoor activities. Being outside is great, but what people don’t realize is that the sun has been steadily getting stronger over the years. Typically, the sun is strongest from 10 am to 4 pm, especially in the summer months from May to August. You even have to be careful in winter as well since snow can reflect 85% to 90% of the sun rays. This means that it is more important than ever to protect your skin so that you don’t develop skin cancer later in life. The easiest and quickest way to protect your skin in the sun is to wear sunscreen. Sunscreen has improved over the years and it protects a lot better than what it has in the past. Dermatologists say that you need to cover every bit of skin not covered by clothing, including the backs of your hands. You should put it on 15 minutes before you go out and reapply it ...

Finding the Perfect Wedding Dress
Getting married is one of the biggest and most important events in your life. There is a ton of planning involved between figuring out guest lists, colors, location and more. The most important part is the wedding dress. The gown is what ties in the decorations & colors, and what makes the bride the center of attention. There are two important aspects of a dress that will impact your search: the style and price. The easiest place to start is the style. There are five and they will. The most popular is the A-Line/Princess. It balances out top heavy shapes and hides some tummy bulge, and is very flattering to most body types. The Mermaid/Trumpet hugs curves and is great if you have a curvy body type. The Empire has a high waistline and the fabric below falls to the floor. The Sheath/Column runs vertically from the shoulders to the floor and does not flare out like the others. They are body hugging & look best on slim body types. The Ball Gown is also known as the ...
Create A LEGO Minifigure Family!
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LEGO for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. When it comes to building toys, LEGO is king. You can build just about anything with them, whether it’s a house, castle or a set based off a popular movie. The possibilities are endless. And now, you can create your family with their own Minifigure Family app on their website. With it, you can add up to 13 members of your family to create a holiday card to send to all of your friends. I had a blast trying out. There are a ton of hair, hat, & clothing options that you can choose from, plus you can also match skin tones as well. You can also add in pets too. I gave my husband spikey hair and dressed him as a ninja. I’m wearing jeans with a studded belt, which looks a lot like the one I normally wear, and a blue jacket. My daughter is wearing a white and purple hoodie. In fact, I noticed one shirt that looked suspiciously like Matt Smith’s suspenders & bowtie ...

National Consumer Panel — Ripoff!
Several years ago, I signed up for National Consumer Panel. NCP sends you a scanner and you scan all your purchases each week for a set number of points. I have one of the older scanners that you held up to the phone to transmit and manually enter the prices. The points can be redeemed for various items and gift cards. They also have quarterly & yearly giveaways as well that you get entered into as long as you scan each week. For the first year and a half, I didn’t have any problems. I transmitted my scans on time and racked up points. After that, however, I started having issues with getting the transmissions to go though. It started taking multiple call backs to get the transmission to go through over the phone. That eventually turned into days, then weeks. I contacted their help panel numerous times, only to either be ignored completely or told to keep trying. I even tried to request a new scanner, but I got no reply. Through this, I kept scanning my purchases ...
