A few weeks back, I was asked to try out and review the Santa Fe Art Supply Artist Brush Set. The set come with 15 brushes that are professional long-handled artist paintbrushes and are 12 inches in length. They use synthetic hair and do not streak when you paint. Santa Fe Art Supply backs them with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and Lifetime Replacement Warranty.
I haven’t done actual painting in a long time, but I do lots of craft projects and paint highly detailed figurines & tree ornaments for Christmas when I have the time. These are easily the best brushes I have ever had. I tested them out with some of my daughter’s watercolors and was very impressed. None of the hair came out and they cleaned up very well. The paint goes down evenly, allowing me to paint lines with ease. The case turns into a pop-up stand, making it very easy to take the brushes in & out as needed. There was also a bonus smaller brush included as well. It’s the perfect size for small detail work.
Aside from the stellar quality, the best part about this set is the price. Part of the reason I don’t do a lot of painting is because how expensive good brushes are. We’re talking easily upwards of $20 for one brush. The full set, 15 brushes & the bonus one, is $39.97 with free shipping on Amazon. I paid that for a set of 4 detail brushes that didn’t even last 5 uses. It is a great deal.
They only thing that I will point out is that when you first open them, they do have a strong varnish smell. I let them sit out for a while, and seemed to help. So you might want to take them out of the case for a while after you get them.
Overall, I really like these brushes. They are very well made, high quality, and a great price. As I mentioned earlier, they are available on Amazon. The brushes seem to be the only item they are selling on Amazon at the moment, but I hope that they add more products soon.
I received the above mentioned product for free to help facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% my own.
