Last week, I was asked to try out and review that Mosquito Repellent Bracelet (+ 2x Refill) from CASELAST. The fabric bracelet can be adjusted to fit all sizes, and has a mesh pouch/pocket that holds a chip with mosquito repellant. The chip is DEET-FREE & uses citronella, lavender, peppermint and geranium…making it safe for all ages. The chips last for 15 days once opened.
After 4 years of little to no rain, we’ve been getting torrential rain to the point that there is widespread flooding from here all the way down to Houston. All the rain has caused the local mosquito population to explode. And my daughter, unfortunately, is a mosquito magnet. We’ve tried all sorts of natural replant and never had much success with them. This year she’s finally old enough to use spay with DEET, but it can’t be left on her skin for long periods of time. I’ve been trying to find something that is safe for her to wear all the time, so I was interested in trying this out.
The bracelet comes with 2 repellent chips, giving you a total of 30 days of protection. It only takes a minute to insert the chip in the pouch. The bracelet itself is pretty soft, and uses Velcro closures. My daughter isn’t overly enthused to wear it, saying that it makes her skin itchy sometimes. I adjusted it so that she can move it up and down her arm as needed & she’ll wear it outside for a bit. It does seem to keep the bugs away from her for the most part, but not all of them. She still gets a few bites but nowhere near as many as before.
Overall, the bracelet isn’t bad. It works & keeps most of the mosquitos away. The bracelet is $19.99 (+ shipping) on Amazon (it was sold out at the time of typing this review).
I received the above mentioned product for free to help facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% my own.
