Moms play a very special role. They need to be everything for everyone at all times, and many have their own careers on top of being mothers. All of these jobs are exhausting and it can be overwhelming sometimes. With so much going on, it is easy for moms to forget that every once in a while, they need to treat themselves to something special.
With a packed schedule every day, all day, it seems like it is impossible for you to find the time, and the money, to pamper yourself. Fortunately, there are some ways that you can relieve stress and get the much deserved break that you need without spending too much time or money on it. Here are five simple ways that busy moms can pamper themselves.
Go for a walk
A great way to take a break for everything is to go for a walk by yourself. You can make this a daily ritual that you do to get some alone time to think about yourself and your needs. This is a good option because you can get a little exercise and spend some time outside, which can be a rare occurrence for moms.
Buy some crucial new clothes
You often find yourself so busy buying new clothes for your kids, who never seem to stop growing, that there never seems to be enough time or money to buy yourself something new to wear. Invest in a couple new pieces for yourself next time you go out shopping. Find a new pair of jeans to replace your worn and stained pair, or buy sexy new sheer bras. This is a great confidence boost that will make you feel more beautiful no matter what obstacles your life as mom throws your way.
Have at at-home spa day
Most moms do not have the time or money to go to the spa for a weekly mani-pedi, but that does not mean that you have to sport bare nails and cracked heels all the time. Give yourself a spare minute when everyone is out of the house to give yourself an at home spa treatment. You can find inexpensive products to use that will give you a great manicure and pedicure that will hopefully last you though the week.
Have your husband and kids make you dinner
A great way to give yourself a break from the daily routine is to switch things up every once in a while. Take a break from making dinner every night and delegate your family to do it for you. It can be fun for your husband and kids to find new recipes and learn to cook together, and you can take a break to do whatever else you want to do that night.
Read a new book
Reading is a relaxing activity that everyone can enjoy. The best part about reading is that you can fit it in little breaks throughout your day. Read a little bit of a book while you wait for your kids outside of school or listen to a book while you are driving.
