Last week I was sent a box of Hair Color Pastel Chalk. The hair chalk will work on any color hair and is excellent for wanting to try out a color first before committing to dying. The color will last about two days and easily wash out.
I was excited to try this since I would be able to put it to good use come Halloween. When I first opened the box, I noticed that there were no instructions & everything else was Chinese. So I headed over to their website to look up how to do it. You have to wet the section hair that you want to use them on, and then rub the chalk on. Since I have brown hair, the site suggested that blue, pink and purple would be the best.
While testing them out, I found that it worked best by getting my hair damp, then wetting the chalk stick itself. I also found that if I tried brush my hair wigs before it dried it would comb the color out. The yellow, white and black didn’t show up as well. In fact, the while pretty much disappeared into my hair. The blue looked alright, but with my hair color you couldn’t really see it. The purple came out pretty good though. These will definably work out good at Halloween.
Overall, the hair chalk really does work. The results will vary depending on your hair color though. I will be doing a follow up on this in a few weeks once I get my hair cut and start putting the lightener in it again. The box of 12 sticks cost #13.59 (+ shipping). They also carry individual colors in small make-up pots that seem to cover the hair better in the video demonstration. They cost a little more, but may be worth it depending on how much of your hair you want to cover. You can find out more about Hair Color Chalkat their website.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
