I was recently asked to try out a Spanx bra.  Spanx clothing and intimates are designed to enhance your body and shape, giving women more confidence in how they look.  I got to choose between three of their bras:  Bra-llelujah (front-closure), Bra-llywood Hills (side-slimming) & Bra-liminate (chest minimizer).

After looking over all three, I decided to go with the Bra-llywood Hills.  I’m not a big fan of front-closures and I don’t need to minimize the size of my chest.  The Bra-llywood Hills narrows the side profile, while reducing spillage & overhang (aka side boobs) and gives a bit of lift…all of which is a bit more useful to me.

 

I’ve gained a bit of weight since having my daughter, so I wasn’t entirely sure what size around to get around.  The Bra-llywood Hills only goes up to 38, so I got that one.  As it turns out, I needed a 40 so I had to pick up an extender at the Leggs store at the outlet mall (Tanger).

 

The bra itself has a bit of padding, which I like, and is extremely comfortable to wear.  It’s pretty light and I didn’t really feel like I was wearing anything.  It does give a good bit of lift, which is a surprise since it doesn’t have any push-up pads in it.  It also produces some killer cleavage, even better what many of the push-up bras can give you.  The best part is that it does slim on the sides and narrows you’re profile some.  Plus, you don’t get all the bunched up skin around the sides and back like you do with many other bras.

Overall at, the Bra-llywood Hills bra is great.  It’s comfortable and does everything that it says it will.  The only negative I see is that it isn’t available in larger sizes.  The bra will cost you $68 (+ shipping)…about the same as some of the Victoria Secret bras.  It ranges from sizes 32 to 38 and is available in natural (nude) and black.  Spanx also carries a variety of other of other products as well, including underwear and swim suits.  More info or to get a look at their products, you can visit their website as well as their Twitter and Facebook pages.

  5. This was one of the most comfortable underwire bras that I have worn in a long time. I have implants and need a lot of support without the poke. The support is great and natural but I was impressed when I fell asleep in it. I getting ready to buy a couple more.
