I’ve been running AdSense on my feeds for ages now. Normally, I don’t really make anything off of them and hardly pay any attention to them. However, back at the beginning of December, I received a letter from Google telling me that I had reached the payment threshold and had to go through a bunch of steps to verify my account. When I logged in, it showed that I had well over $130 in estimated funds. So, over the next week or so, I got my account verified and was eager to see how much I would end up with. My plan was to use put the money toward a new water heater. The end of the month came, and I ended up with $176. And so, the wait for the finalization (8th of every month) began.
The 8th of January came and went….with nothing. I logged in daily to see if anything had finalized yet. Eventually, the entry for December vanished from my account entirely. It wasn’t even showing up on the Payments page. I tried to find a way to contact AdSense directly, but I found out that you can’t. You can only ask for assistance through the Google help forum, and they almost never answer. I posted a question up anyway, and have never received a reply.
Today, I logged in to see if there was any change at all. I click on my payments tab and scrolled down. I immediately saw that December had miraculously re-appeared, and with it was a payment amount…of 2 cents. WHAT THE $#%$##! Where did all the money go? How can the estimated amount be that far off the mark? I can’t even go back in a pull up the original estimate numbers, leaving me with nothing to show them.
I am just beyond aggravated. I’m seriously considering taking AdSense off my feeds and just not bothering with them anymore. If they don’t seem to care enough to come up with a better way to contact them & resolve issues/questions, then why should I care enough to use them?
Has anyone else had issues with them in the past or know of a way to contact them directly?
I was reading and I was like, holy cow, over $100?!?! I never made anything with adsense so now I don’t clutter up my page with it. Sorry about your trouble, though, that sucks! 🙁
