BBQ Grill Pan

Product Review – Cave Tools BBQ Grill Pan

August 15, 2018

A few weeks back, I was asked to try out Cave Tool’s new BBQ grill pan. This flat pan has two sections: one that’s solid and one that has slats for grill marks. It’s made of durable stainless steel and measures 15.3 by 13 inches. We recently bought a new charcoal grill after our gas grill finally wore out (replacement parts cost more than a brand new grill!). This pan is large enough to cover a good portion of the grill rack, and is excellent. So far we have cooked steaks, fish, burgers, and more. Nothing has stuck to it yet, and it easily cleans off. It still looks brand new even after over a dozen uses. The cool thing about this pan is that it’s very similar to those flexible grill mats that are popular right now, but more sturdy. Recipe – Jasmine’s Brussels Sprouts

February 23, 2011

Jason found this recipe a few weeks ago and we love it.  I use frozen Brussels sprouts instead of fresh, mostly because the store doesn't have them all the time, and I use regular bacon instead of panchetta.  The last time I fixed it, I also added in capers.allrecipes.com - Jasmine's Brussels Sprouts ...

experiments in cooking – onigiri

June 16, 2010

Last night I decided to try my had at making onigiri, rice balls, to go with dinner last night.  I found a good sounding recipe on Recepiezaar.  Now I understand why they sell the little triangle molds.  It's really hard to mold them if your not familiar with making them.  My hands kept drying up, causing the rice to stick to me.  My rice balls ended up looking more like eggs, but they came out really good.  I caught Jason getting up in the middle of the night to eat some more of them, so I know he liked them.If you want to give it a try, here's the recipe:  http://www.recipezaar.com/recipe/Onigiri-rice-Balls-119231 ...
