Have a Hassle-free Easter Dinner with HoneyBaked Ham (+ Giveaway!) [ENDED]

I received a gift card to HoneyBaked Ham to help facilitate my review.honeybakedham1

A few days ago, I got a chance to check out HoneyBaked Ham.  HoneyBaked Ham offers smoked ham & turkey breast, as well as a large variety of sides and deserts.  The hams are cured in a secret marinade, smoked over a blend of hardwood chips, coverd with a crunch sweet glaze, and them spiral cut.  Everything is already fully cooked, saving you time.

I visited my local store in Mesquite, Texas.  I’ve never been there before, so I wasn’t familiar with what they had or how their prices were.  There was a case full of deserts next to a deli counter where you could order sandwiches.  There was also another case with side dishes, a few coolers with assorted items in them.  There were also some stand racks with canned items, cookie & cake mixes, & dried beans.  The main counter was at the back, and behind it were cases with the hams and turkey.

After looking as the prices, my husband & I figured that a quarter ham would be best since it was smaller.  We also grabbed a pack of their Honey-Spice Bacon as well as a bag of mixed beans & a bag of white beans.  My husband was also eying the canned jalapenos, but decided to wait until next time to pick some up.  The lady at the counter unwrapped and showed us the ham before bagging it up.  The ham itself was a little over 4 and a half pounds, and came to $42…which isn’t bad since it’s already cook.

We got into the ham that night while watching a movie.  We were eating the slices cold, and couldn’t believe the taste.  You could easily taste all of the flavor from the glaze and marinade down it the meat.  It was one of the best hams we have ever had.  After pulling off a few slices, we put it back so we could eat it the next night.  In the morning, I cooked the bacon.  It was thick cut and had a wonderful smell while it was cooking.  The honey-spice flavor was good, but didn’t override the taste of the bacon.  We really liked it and are planning to get more soon.

I love that you can same so much time and effort by getting your meal at HoneyBaked Ham.  All you have to do it heat it up, so it gives you more time to spend with family.  That’s perfect for holidays, like Easter which is right around the corner.  It will give you more time to hunt for Easter eggs or sneak off with some Cadbury Cream Eggs.

HoneyBaked Ham always has great specials* available too.  Right now you can get the Easter Ham & Turkey Combo, a turkey breast (approx. 3 lbs.) with your choice of a boneless ham (approx. 3.5 lbs.) or a quarter ham (approx.. 4.5 lobs) for only $54.99.  The Easter Brunch Bundle, a Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake and Honey-Spice Bacon, is $24.99.  You can get a turkey breast for $22.99 with the purchase of any half or whole ham.  You can also get two Heat & Serve sides for $13.99 or three for $19.99.  There are also two coupons currently available as well.  You can get $5 off a Bone-In Half Ham or $3 off a boneless or quarter ham.  Also if you become a HoneyBaked VIP at honeybakedfood.com, you can add an extra $1 off to either coupon.  Becoming a HoneyBaked VIP gets you exclusive saves throughout the year.

Overall, we loved the ham and they are definitely worth checking out.  They are great for holidays or any special event.  Since the hams & turkey breasts re fully cooked, you save tons of time that would normally be spent cooking.  You can find the nearest HoneyBaked Ham by visiting their website.
