Cardio 630 Review & Giveaway [ENDED]

June 28, 2012

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Mom Blog Society Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

A week ago, I was sent a Cardio 630 Heart Rate Monitor from SportLine.  SportLine carries a wide range of fitness gear, including hydration items, pedometers & accessories.  The Cardio 630 has four main features: Heart Rate/Exercise, Time/Date, Chronograph & Alarm.  It’s designed to be super easy to setup and use.

The first thing I noticed about the Cardio 630 is that it uses a chest strap to transmit your heart rate.  I’ve only ever used the ones that are just the watch, and, frankly, the straps don’t look to be all that comfortable.  I was expecting there to be rubbing and chafing.  However, it ended up being quite nice.  It’s very lightweight and after the first few minutes you have it on, you don’t really notice it anymore.

The watch, as expected, was very easy to setup.  Once you set the time & date, you can add in info like your age and weight.  This is what helps you keep track of how much calories you are burning.  To sync the watch and the band, just hold down the button ‘Heart Rate’ button on the watch until the Learn screen pops up.  Then press the button on the chest strap once you’ve put in on.  After a few seconds, the word ‘Coded’ should appear on the watch, then start showing your heart rate.  You will need to do this every time you go to use it.

Overall, I was very impressed with the Cardio 630.  It’s quick to setup and very easy to use.  The Cardio 630 comes in two versions: Women’s (which I tested) and Men’s.  Both will cost $49.99 (+ shipping).  For more information and to see all of their other products, you can visit SportLine’s website, Facebook & Twitter.
