I have decided that I am way to young to be falling apart at the seams the way I have been, and I demand that Mother Nature, God, Fate and/or whoever has a hand in it to make it stop!
I spent all day Monday at the Urgent Care Clinic, trying to find out what is wrong with my knee. The pain and swelling hasn’t gone away, even now, and it’s nearly impossible to sleep since I can’t lay it out flat. After waiting nearly two hours, the doctor sent me across the highway to get a sonogram on my leg to make sure that I didn’t have a blood clot. That came back clear, so I was then told that I would have to have a MRI. They need to take a look at the ligaments because there is a strong possibility that one of them is torn. So, I’ve been sitting here all week since then waiting for whichever place they are sending me to call. I should have just gone to my regular doctor and been done with it.
As it stands know, I can barely walk around, let alone chase after Hannah, with the brace on. Walking without it is a no go since the few times I have tried, my leg just about goes out from under me. I can go short distances but I need to hold onto something. Knowing my luck, I’ll end up tearing up the other knee as well. Thank goodness Hannah has been so good though. She’s been super quiet during the days while Jason is sleeping. She’s been keeping her toys picked up, which is a huge help, and has been carrying laundry (mostly towels).
Aside from the leg stuff, there hasn’t been too much going on. I’ve been trying to finish reading through my friend’s manuscript. She’s doing edits on a novel that she’s written, and is looking to publish it. I’m also working on a few book covers. I had been hoping to be outside a little bit today, but it’s raining (of course!). Oh, the annual Heritage Jubilee is this weekend. Jason and I go mostly for the food, and Hannah loves the shopping. Hopefully we’ll get out their tomorrow afternoon.
