Guest Article – How to Get Your Teen Interested in Sports

April 20, 2015

If you have a teen who loves to hang out with friends, is doing great at school, and maybe even goes to a party or two (with your permission of course), but doesn’t want to try any sports, how do you get him or her interested? Of course as a parent it’s never a good idea to push because a willful teen will likely push back, but in order for a teen to learn where their interests lie in the future, they need to try a variety of activities. There are several ways to encourage your son or daughter in the right direction, and here are just a few for you to try: Colleges Like Well Rounded Students When it’s that time for your child to apply for colleges, most colleges will look for well rounded individuals. What does this mean for your teen? If they’ve been in a few societies, tried different sports, and volunteered, not only will it look incredible on their resume, but it will help your child learn what they do and don’t like. This will be especially helpful as they enter into a new ...

Site Issues Fixed (Hopefully)

April 14, 2015

Now that this is out of the way, I can get back to general posts and a few more reviews. ...

New Marvel’s ANT-MAN Trailer

April 14, 2015

Here is the new trailer for Marvel's ANT-MAN.  It stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly & Michael Douglas, and opens July 17 in theaters everywhere. On a side note, I wasn't overly sold on this movie when I saw the first trailer.  But this one is a lot better and gives a better outline of the plot.  Plus The Stain's Corey Stoll is playing Yellowjacket, and he's a great actor. ...

Product Review – French Press from Kitchen Supreme

April 13, 2015

A few weeks ago, I was asked to try out & review a French Press from Kitchen Supreme. The French Press is glass & chrome, and is good for tea and coffee. It comes with a coffee scoop, 4 extra filter screens, a Unique Spoon (bent to sit on the cup rim), and instructions. I actually picked up a box of Lipton Loose Leaf Tea from the grocery store to try out with this. To start, placed a scoop & a half of tea in the French Press. I then heated up water in my tea kettle. I took it off the heat just before it started whistling so that it wasn’t boiling. I didn’t want to risk breaking the glass, so I let it sit for a minute or so before pouring it into the French Press. After pouring, I let it sit for a minute or so, then gently stirred everything. I then put the lid on with the press all the way up & let if sit for another few minutes before I slowly used the press. It made about two large cups of tea, and the lid kept the heat in very well. It stayed warm for about 2 ...
