Heritage Jubilee
Me, Hannah, and my mom went over the the Heritage Jubilee today. This is Hannah's first year going and mom had never been before either. We got a late start and ended up parking at the far end of the softball fields...near the soccer field. From there, it was a bit of a walk to get the main area.We wondered around the sellers tents for a while. Mom bought some wooden decorative signs, while several people stopped me to either say hi or say cute Hannah was. Hannah had a blast looking at everything. Eventually, we came across a petting zoo. We wanted to take Hannah in but it was going to be $3 per person so we didn't bother. There was a donkey tied to a sign post, so we wheeled her over to him. We looked at him and pet him a few times. Then she leaned way out of the stroller and tried to bite him. Thankfully, the donkey was nice and very patient.We took a break after that and sat down in the shade. Mom tried to get Hannah to eat while I went off in search of food and drink. ...

The tornado sirens just went off a few minutes ago, and the weather radio said the the storm will be here in a few minutes...and that it would be a good idea to stay away from windows and keep indoors. Tornado watch and a severe thunderstorm watch: Oh the joys of living in Texas. Hopefully I won't spend the next two days removing tree bits from the yard, but I'm going to get my hopes up since the storms are still no where near us and we can already hear thunder.But at least we have our new weather radio! Jason was mostly off from work today, although he got called in to get his yearly evaluation. We were going to try to get some more yard work done, but we never got to it. We a good chunk of the day trying to get our taxes done. Normally we would have done them by now, but since he hasn't had a say off we were stuck.We also took Hannah out to lunch at Girasol, the local Mexican restaurant. We are friends with the family who owns it, and they were extremely happy to see Hannah. She ate a plate of rice and some crackers while eyeballing everyone. She got a little fussy right before we left, but otherwise she did great. She was full enough that by the time we got up to WalMart to do the taxes she went to sleep.Tomorrow is our four year anniversary, so Jason and I went out to dinner tonight since he has to work tomorrow (...go figure). He took me to Edo Hanna and he got some Kobe beef. It was really good. I got the Japanese Fried Chicken and a Cowboy Roll. After eating, we ...
