Pine Brothers Review & Giveaway [ENDED]

January 22, 2013

A few weeks ago, I was sent some bags & pucks of Pine Brothers Throat Drops.  Pine Brothers have been around since 1870 and their throat drops are different than the ones you normally seen in stores.  Their drops are softish…in other words, quasi-gummy.I was very surprised when I received my sample package & pulled out bag after bag of throat drops.  I was sent the Combo Family Pack (Cherry & Lemon flavors), and we immediately put them to good use over the course of the last month while we have all been in various stages of ‘plague’.  The drops are hard until you put them in your mouth.  Once they get moistened, they turn gummy enough that you can gnaw on them for an extended period of time without breaking apart…giving them more than enough time to kick in.  Other throat drops I’ve used in the past only seem to numb my mouth.  That’s great if I have a toothache, but it does nothing for my throat.  The Pine Bros. drops don’t affect my mouth in any way and works almost immediately on my ...

Make Your Fashion Pop with No nonsense

January 15, 2013

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of No nonsense for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.I've never been overaly picky about what I wear, especially now that I'm a mom.  I spend more time fussing over my daughter than I do myself.  When I do put together outfits, I try to go for stuff that is confortable yet nice.  I also like to add a bit of flare as well, but not too much.  For the most part, my outfits are pretty bland.  But I've found that I can liven them up a bit by adding a pair of No nonsense tights and leggings.  I recently visited Polyvore.com to put together an outfit with a pair of No nonsense leggings to get a feel for how it would look.  You can take a look at what I picked out below: Misadvmom.com Set 1 by misadvmom featuring flat shoesAs with my typical outfits, I paired a pair of shorts with a nice tank-top & a confortable pair of tennis shoes.  I added in a studded belt for some extra flare, and also added in a straw fedora that looks very ...

You have to sometimes wonder if the same little creature that steals socks from your laundry is somehow swiping your debit and credit cards or writing checks in your name. We all know that we need to save money and plan for the future. We might be tempted to run a marathon up hill in the snow before sitting down and seeing where money goes every month. Before you throw in the towel and decide to give up on your New Year's Resolution of saving for your kid's college tuition, that family trip your always wanted, or simply getting out of debt, give budgeting a shot with the following steps.Step 1 - Print off the budget form that is to the left.  Click on it to view the full size, then right click & save.Step 2 - Write down what you are spending on a monthly basis.
