I've got a lot going on this week. I've mostly gotten caught up on my reviews for the time being. There's just one more to go, which I'll do tomorrow. I'm slowly working on going through all the labels and consolidating everything down for easier searching. I've added a few more sections under Product Reviews on the drop-down menu. Hopefully I can get it all done soon.On the commissions front for my design business: I've got a new book cover to start work on, as well as finish up a web site design for ISeeGhosts.com. I'm also working on getting a blog going for Supernatural Researchers of Texas (SRT), which I will be posting to regularly. I've already designed a logo, business cards and car door magnets for them. I will be adapting the logo for a members only t-shirt. The company I'm getting the shirt made at will be reviewed here on the blog once I get it done.I'll be out for most of the afternoon tomorrow on a walk through as part of an upcoming investigation for SRT. Daddy Diaper Backpack Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
A few weeks back, I was sent a Daddy Diaper Backpack. The pack is made by DaddyScrubs, a company that makes all sorts of neat stuff geared towards dads, including scrubs, hats, shirts & more.I was very excited to try this since my husband absolutely hates carrying around our daughter Winnie the Pooh diaper bag. He’s more open to carrying my purse. The backpack has several large compartments, as well as a ton of smaller ones that you can fit just about everything in, including keys, phones, wallets and more.. It also has pockets on the side for bottles. We have already gotten a great deal of use out of it. We’ve been packing it up on the days I have physical therapy for my husband to have while he is shopping with our daughter. It’s also the perfect overnight bag for when she stays with grandma too. I can get her wipes tub, diapers (for when she’s out), learning laptop, and blanket in the big compartment. All of her clothing, Sippy cup & other assorted stuff easily fit in the ...
Product Review – EpiCor
A while back, I was asked to test out EpiCor. EpiCor is a natural ingredient that works to help boost your immune system. I was sent two bottles, along with some extra goodies as well.I had somewhat mixed results with this one. Since I’m not exactly sure what all is in it, I was a bit leery of taking it since I have medicine allergies. Plus, I already take multi-vitamins and drink a lot of orange juice for the Vitamin C, & I didn’t want to have any bad reactions to stuff mixing. When I first received my bottle of EpiCor, I had a sinus infection, so I had to wait to finish the antibiotic I was taking before I could start. I took a pill every other day just to be safe side. While taking it, I didn’t really notice any difference in the way I felt. I still was having problems with my sinuses, but was treating it with Claritin. I did notice that this didn’t seem to make my stomach hurt like the probiotics did in the past. I think that if I was taking it daily that I would get better ...
Book Review – 2:32 AM by Emily Ford
2:32 AM is the debut novel by young adult author Emily Ford. The story is about a teenager named Cat, who has been picked to carry of the legacy of a 700 year-old Djinn (genie). As she finds herself thrust into the world of genies, she has to deal with both her normal life & the ramifications of what her very long future holds.I was very excited to be asked to review this book, since the general storyline is different from much of what is available for young adults today. My sister-in-law is in middle school and you wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find books for her that doesn’t have rampant sex, violence & language in them. It is even harder to find something that isn’t a Twilightknockoff. As I have mentioned in past book reviews, I am by no means a professional author. Aside from product reviews, some poetry & a newspaper article, I have never been published. I greatly admire anyone who is able to get an entire novel written out. It can be a very long and difficult ...
Product Review – Red Envelope
I was recently invited to try out Red Envelop, another sister site to both Pro Flowers and Shari’s Berries which I have reviewed in the past. Red Envelope is a gift site that carries unique items along with several items from its sister sites. Like the other sites, the layout is the same and very easy to navigate. You can search for gift items according to who you are buying it for (for him, for her, ect…), and then break it down the type of item (outdoor, toys, ect…). There are a wide range of very unique item to choose from, including wooden watchers, electronic gadgets & personalized items. I browsed through the Anniversary Gifts for Him, since our anniversary is next month. It only took me a few minutes to find a very neat magnetic light that he can use on his grill. Normally, I would have a line to the item, but it has since sold out and I cannot find it on the site now. I received the gift about a week later, several days sooner that it was scheduled. I’ve hidden it the ...
quick update
I'm fiddling with the menu a bit. I'm working on switching it over to a drop down menu. I've gotten most of it switched over, but I'm going to be going back through the product reviews and labeling them by category. Once I do that, the review tab will also have a drop menu. My goal is to be able to get rid of the label box & making the site easier to navigate. ...
