Product Review — Matcha DNA

October 1, 2013

For the past two weeks, I have been trying out Matcha DNA.  Matcha is a powered green tea that is very healthy for you to drink.  It’s grown in China & is also used for tea ceremonies in Japan.  I’m not a big green tea drink, but my husband is.  He was very excited about trying it out since it’s one we don’t normally get.  I received a bag with 34 single serve pouches. Preparation is pretty easy.  Once you boil your water, you want to put to warm up your cup.  I did this by filling it up with the hot water, then emptying it out.  You then add in the tea powder, & then your water.  You will then want to stir it very well to make sure that all of the powder dissolves.  You can use a spoon or a small whisk. It tastes really good.  It’s not overly strong and tastes just like what you would get in restaurants.  My husband loves it and has already gone through a good bit of the pouches.  I also like it, though it’s hard to get any since my husband conveniently uses up all the ...

Product Review — DreamHost (Part 2)

October 1, 2013

So, the past few weeks have been a bit hectic due to the blog transfer…especially with working on getting the hang of Wordpress and figuring out what plugins I need.  Now that everything is settled, I can finish my DreamHost review. Since I am a novice at all the transferring stuff, I had Jacqui from Wacky Jacqui’s Designs do my transfer.  She is a Wordpress master!  DreamHost operates mainly on FTP, so it only took her about a day to get everything transferred over.  I got in there & played around with plugins, and then she went in and finished up getting the layout fixed and other odds and ends.  I only crashed everything once and fixed it myself, which isn’t too bad in my book.  Overall, it was quick and easy. The server uptime has been great.  There have been no outages at all, which is a great improvement over Blogger.  Plus, when major updates come down, DreamHost will install them for you.  I’m also able to get in via FTP to edit stuff if I need to.  The best part is ...

Product Review — Total Nutrition

October 1, 2013

Last week, I was sent a sample of Total Nutrition by Immortal Herbs.  Total Nutrition is a powder supplement that you can mix into drinks and smoothies.  It contains antioxidants, amino acids, enzymes, nutrients, vitamins, and phytonutrients….all of which with give you an energy boots and is very healthy for you.  You can use it as a meal replacement for either breakfast or lunch, or have it as a snack/drink between lunch & dinner. The powder itself is green, and can make your drink green as well.  It’s not the most appetizing, but you can easily remedy that by mixing different stuff in with it.  When I mixed up my smoothie, I used a mango juice base and added in the following frozen fruit: banana slices, pineapple chunks & mixed berries.  The mixed berries gave the smoothie a purple color, so I didn’t have to worry about the green.  Add in 1 tablespoon of the powder and your good to go. With many nutrition powders, you can sometimes taste them in the drink.  But with ...

Product Review — Qoilezz

September 30, 2013

I was recently asked to check out Qoilezz, a stretchy plastic coil that you can hook to just about anything. They can be used for any number of things, including wine stem charms, pencil/pen identifiers & more. I picked out a few design packs. I really wanted to put them in my daughter’s hair for decoration. Now, I’m not the best when it comes to messing with hair…& I purposely keep my hair very short for that reason. My daughter picked out one that she wanted. After pulling her hair back into a ponytail, I tried to weave it in. It didn’t go well at all. All I managed to do was knot her hair up. I was able to use it in place of a hair tie to hold up her pony tail, but that was about the best I could manage. I’ve also found a lot of other fun uses for them. My daughter has been putting them on her crayons, and I’ve put a few on my different USB cords so that I could keep track of which one goes to what device. I also put a few on my shoe laces. The qoilezz are soft and ...
