I was recently sent some pre-packaged weight loss food from Diet Doc. Diet Doc has a whole line of weight loss products that are all formulated to fit with an hCG diet. What is HCG? The food is said to come with everything already in it, so all you have to do is all in the meat. I got to pick three different meals: Steak Soup, Thai Chicken Soup & Chicken Gumbo.I was interested in try this out since it’s supposed to be healthy and it sounded like it would be a quick and easy fix. However, that wasn’t exactly the case. When it arrived (two and a half weeks late), I was surprised to find that it was three pouches of some sort of seasoning mix that has to be reconstituted in water before use. Each pouch had an accompanying half-sheet of paper with cooking instructions and a list of ingredients needed. For the most part, many of the extra ingredients are stuff that you may have on hand, like chicken broth. Other stuff you will have to go out and get special. For example, the ...

Book Review – The Unfinished by Patrice Williams-Marks
The Unfinished is a short story ebook by Patrice Williams-Marks. Set in the future, that story is about an Unfinished (murdered) who is brought back to put his killer behind bars…he believes. The overall style of the story is 40s detective noir, and it works exceptionally well. The story is short and to the point, and you really get a feel for the man as he remembers his life. He’s very sympathetic, which makes the ending all the more shocking with its brilliantly laid out twist.Overall, it was a fantastic read and I highly recommend it. It would definetly make a great Christms present for any avaid reader. It’s available on Amazonfor $2.99 and several other ebook sites, plus Mrs. Williams-Marks will be writing a sequel called The Unfinished 2.I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. ...
Printcopia Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
A few weeks back, I was invited to try out Printcopia. Printcopia is a print service that lets you print out your pictures in a variety of ways, including standard prints & canvas prints. I got to get an 8x10 canvas print. The ordering process was pretty straight forward. I selected the canvas size and then uploaded my image. Unfortunately, I wasn’t unable to rotate the canvas…so what I originally wanted as a full body shot of my daughter ended up being an extreme close-up of her face. You are then able to adjust your image color and contrast. There are also extra color options as well that will cost extra. You also have to pay extra depending on how you want the canvas wrapped. I also noticed that you had to pay extra if you want the picture wire hanging stuff for it as well. I didn’t add anything extra to it and left it bare bones, and the price for just the picture was $56.78 before tax. They have several shipping options, ranging from free to $39.95 for next day ...
Proiduct Review – Kelly Kits
A week ago, I received at Kelly Kit in the mail. Kelly Kits are a box that comes once a month with various art tools for your child to make something. Each month follows a different theme & they have a contest for the best creation. You can make a one time purchase, or buy a monthly subscription.I was excited about getting the Kelly Kits since my daughter loves arts and crafts. I was sent an email at the first of the month letting me know that it was shipped and that this month’s theme was ‘collage’. I was expecting a good-sized box with stuff in it after reading both the description on the website and what I was sent for the promo post that I did earlier last month. I was also told that I would receive the box no later than the second week of the month. I didn’t get the kit until the 22nd, and it wasn’t at all what I expected. The kit ended up being a ‘sculpture’ kit. It had a small bag of clay powder to mix up, a small page of instructions & a fold out ...
Dermagist Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
For the past month, I’ve been testing products from Dermagist. Dermagist makes a unique line of professional facial care products. I was sent their Ultimate Acne Clarifying System, which consists of three products that products major results in less than a month.I’ve battled nasty acne breakouts since I was a teen, and tried every affordable acne product out there…from Proactive to Clearasil to AcneFree, and even the few products I’ve reviewed on this blog. Nothing ever seems to truly clear it up. In fact, most products are overly strong & make it worse. The worst experience I had was is Proactive, which I tried a few months before I got married. I ended up looking like one of their ‘before’ pictures and almost didn’t get it cleared up in time for my bridal pictures & wedding. It then took several months to get them to cancel my membership/account & to get them to stop charging my debit card.As I mentioned earlier, Dermagist’s acne system consists of three products: detoxifying ...
Product Review – Glade Expressions
For the past few weeks, I’ve been testing out the new line of Glade products called Glade Expressions. The line consists of a room diffuser and a spray. Both come in a variety of scents and are reasonably priced. I picked up both items in the pineapple & mangosteen scent. The room spray was ready to use and puts out a good sized mist. I didn’t have to spray much at all to get the room smelling great. The trigger is easy to squeeze and the refill is very easy to remove and replace. The diffuser only takes about two minutes to snap together. The decretive bamboo panels blend in with just about any décor. You don’t even realize that it’s a diffuser until you really look at it. It took about 3 hours or so for the scent chip to get fully wet. After that, you could notice the pineapple/mangosteen in the air, but it was very subtle. It took about a day to fully circulate the room and give it a very pleasant scent. It has lasted me just a little over a month, due to the fact ...
