Noah’s Rainy Day by Sandra Brannan is the 4th book on the Liv Bergen mystery series. Liv has completed training at Quantico and is now an FBI Agent. She is immediately tossed into a case with Streeter Pierce, her lover Jack Linwood, and her bloodhound Beulah. She finds herself in a race against time to find a 5-year-old who went missing from Denver International Airport. Meanwhile her nephew Noah Hogarty, who has severe cerebral palsy, is convinced that there is something going in with the quiet new girl across the street. When no clear way to communicate his suspicions, he decides to take matters into his own hands…because that’s what his aunt would do. I am always excited to read Mrs. Brannan’s books, and this definitely didn’t disappoint. There is a lot of action and mystery throughout the story and, as always, it keeps you literally glued to the story. I couldn’t put it down. There was a bit of a change in writing style for this one. Normally, only Liv is presented in ...

Book Review – Where They Bury You by Steve Kohlhagen
Where they Bury You is the newest novel by Steve Kohlhagen. It’s a historical fiction based around the death of Major Joseph Cummings, who was the Provost Marshal of Santa Fe during the Civil War. He was found in an arroyo near what is now the Hubbell Trading Post in Ganado, Arizona with roughly what would be millions in today’s money in his saddlebags. Officially, it is said that Cummings was shot by an Indian & there wasn’t much of an investigation at the time due to the war. However, over the ensuing years, more information his come to light that question who Cummings was and where his activities were during the war. Mr. Kohlhagen mixes history with fiction in his take on events leading up Cummings’s death, and has created a wonderful novel that is a mix of Civil War, western & mystery novel. The novel has several different storylines that eventually all come together. It starts with the conflict between Cochise, Chief of the Chiricahua Apaches, and the Army. ...
Citrus Clear Face Wash Review
For the past week or so, I've been trying out Citrus Clear face wash. Citrus Clear products are holistic & all natural, and are safe for all skin types. They carry a variety of products specializing in sensitive skin and acne treatment. I was sent the Natural Tahitian Lime Gentle Cleaner. The cleanser came in a pump bottle, and is clear with little white beads in it. It has a wonderful smell that I really like. I have very sensitive skin & I have trouble with a lot of products...even ones that are formulated for sensitive skin. I've not had any issues with face cleaners that I've reviewed in the past. However, this is the first one that has really broken my skin out. The cleansers did leave my skin feeling very soft and clean. And, as mentioned earlier, I loved the scent. But within a few hours, my skin got very oily. More so than usual. I figured that it may have been the weather, but after a few days, I began having a massive breakout. Most of the pimples ...
Product Review – Card.com
Several weeks back, I was contacted by Card.com and asked to try out their pre-paid debit cards. You can pick from thousands of card images, and also easily direct deposit your paychecks on the cards or like it to your PayPal account. After quickly verifying my information, I picked out a Walking Dead graphic for my card. I received it in a few days. The Card.com rep had it pre-loaded with $25 that I could use anywhere. I ended up using the card to get the ‘Shallow Gravy’ t-shirt offered by the Venture Bros. T-Shirt Club. It left a few dollars on the card, which I haven’t used yet. These cards are very useful if you don’t have a checking account. You will have all your money right there, and you can pay all your bills with it, get groceries, ect…However, there is a fee for it. The monthly fee for the card is $5.95, but as long as you direct deposit at least $800 over the course of the month, then the fee is waived. There are others fees for different services you can get with ...

A month ago, I was sent a huge box of Pork Chomps Dog Chews. Pork Chomps dog chews contain no rawhide, so they are healthier for your pets since they are 99% digestible. All of the chews I received for sized for small dogs. I’ve seen Pork Chomps at places like PetSmart in the past but have never picked them up for our dogs before. I was sent a large variety of chews: Bacon Flavor Mini Twist, Baked Stripz, Baked Bones, Premium Sweet Potato Wrapped Sticks, Premium Bacon Flavored Twists, and Premium Sweet Potato Wrapped Bones. I received two of everything, so it was a loaded box. The box arrived while I was on vacation & I opened it once I was back. For the past month my dogs, Tobi & Brownie, have been getting treats with their food and when we are outside (haven’t been out too much here lately due to the heat). So far, they haven’t turned down a single treat. They really like the bacon twists and the sweet potato bones. All the bags are a fairly good size, so we’ve ...
