A few weeks ago, I was sent two boxes of FluNada. FluNada is a homeopathic throat and nasal spray formulated to provide relief from cold and flu-like symptoms. It has a blend of safe and natural ingredients and provides relief from multiple systems, including runny/blocked nose, sore throat, cough, and body aches & pains. One bottle is 0.66 ounces, gives you about 40 doses of 5 sprays each, and is safe for ages 4 and up. To use, you spray the product three times in your mouth, and once in each nostril. I don’t have the best track record with throat sprays, so I used it just as a nasal spray. Our weather has been all over the place lately, so I’ve been having issues with my sinuses…even with my prescription. I started using it as soon as I started getting congested, and after a few days I was fine. My husband has also been using it off and on as well to help head off getting sick from work. He normally gets sick at least twice during the holiday season and so far he ...

The Tmart Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
Last week, I was sent a USB 3.0 High-Speed 4-Port Switch Hub from Tmart. Tmart offers a wide selection of products ranging from electronics, cosplay wigs, all at low prices. The USB Hub I selected is compatible with all USB ports and is available in white and black. I was very excited to try out the Hub, since I always seem to be short USB ports. My speakers, printer & smaller Hub take up the ones on the back of my PC. I have two others on the side of my tower, but they are used by my MagicJack. I have two free ports on my smaller (and very old) hub, by they get used up when working on book cover commissions and stock shoots. My laptop, on the other hand, only has two ports so I’m totally out of luck if I have to plug in my portable CD drive (it uses both). The Hub from Tmart is pretty neat. Each of its 4 ports has a power switch and indicator lights. It also comes with a good sized USB cord so that it reaches a pretty good way. There is also a small light on the ...
Product Review — Carter’s
I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Carter’s. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating A few days ago, I got to go on a bit of a shopping spree at Carter’s. Carter’s is a well-known name in children’s clothing. Their sizes run from newborn – 7 & they make it super easy to put together cute outfits for all occasions. There is a Carter’s store right nearby my house, so I do go in fairly often if I’m able to get out to the outlet mall. They usually are always running some sort of sale depending on what time of the year it is. I normally try to stock up on t-shirts since that is what my daughter wears the most through the year. Plus, all the clothing always seems to switch over to long-sleeves once summer is over & it never really gets cold enough here to need them (it’s Texas after all!). This year, however, I needed to find quite a bit of clothes since my daughter hit a bit of a ...
Product Review – Nestle Seasonal Holiday Candy (w/ Candy Cane Bark recipe)
Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. A few days ago, I was sent some of Nestle’s Seasonal Holiday candy. Nestle makes a large assortment of candy, including Butterfingers, Wonka products and many more. Their Seasonal Holiday candy is only available during the holiday season. I was send a Wonka Nerds Rope and a box of Wonka Pixy Stix filled Candy Canes. The Nerds Rope didn’t last too long, since both my husband and daughter love them. I held over the candy canes because I decided I wanted to make some Candy Cane Bark. I haven’t made it in years, so I figured that it would make for a good snack for Christmas. It's mostly the same as making Almond Bark. Here is my own original recipe: Ingredients 24 oz. Almond Bark Vanilla Flavord Coating 1 box of Wonka Pixy Stix Candy Canes Cookie sheet covered with parchment paper Food processor Directions Break up the candy canes into prices and put them in the food processor. Pulse until they are ...

Product Review — Sterling Silver Ornament from Reed & Barton
Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. Last week, I got to order a tree ornament from Reed & Barton. Reed & Barton has been one of the country’s foremost makers of fine tableware & giftware for over 187 years. They sell items ranging from silverware to jewelry boxes. They have a nice selection of ornaments, including blown glass, Baby’s First Christmas, & sterling silver. After looking around, I picked out the Annual Christmas Bell, which is sterling silver. The bell comes engraved with ‘Christmas 2013’ and you can also personalize the back if you want. The personalized engraving will cost $8 for a monogram or $10 for two lines of six letters each. The bell arrived within a few days of ordering and came in a lovely gift box. The bell was wrapped in paper to protect it, and the clapper (striking ball-thing inside) was also wrapped separate. It was a little tricky to attach it to the clip in the bell, but once I got it on, it was ...
