Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. Last week, I got a chance to pick out a piece of artwork from FulcrumGallery.com. FulcrumGallery.com is a site that sells framed & canvas prints of artwork, photography and more. They have thousands of prints to choose form, and you can even get your own photo or artwork printed on canvas or as a framed print. I spent a long time browsing the art on their site and still probably only looked at a quarter of it. I ended up being drawing to the vintage movie poster section. They had all sorts of movie posters available for both new and old movies, and even tons of international posters. I started searching from random movies and came across ‘Doctor Who and the Daleks’ staring Peter Cushing. I’m a huge Dr. Who fan and instantly fell in love with the poster. For the print, I got a 1.5” Deep Canvas Wrap that was 11x 17. You can get thinner bars (0.75”), but I like the thick ones best. The canvas shipped within a few days ...

Product Review – ManGrate
Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. Last week, I was sent a ManGrate starter set. ManGrate is a cast-iron cooking grate for your grill. Each grate weighs 8 pounds, is 15-inches long by 4 1/4 inches wide and measure 1 3/8 inches thick, & cooks using radiant heat. You place them sided by side, and can use lay them horizontally or vertically. The set I received had two grates and a cleaning brush. I was very interested in trying these out since we do so much cooking on our smoker grill. I surprised my husband with them as an early Father’s Day gift & he was very eager to use them right away. I picked up two inexpensive steaks at the store. They were medium thickness and usually end up a little tough no matter how you cook them. After seasoning the grates (which only took about 10 minutes), my husband seasoned the steaks and tossed them on. We normally cook steaks medium rare so they didn’t take too long. My husband said right away that the steaks ...
The Goodnight, Sleep Tight, What a Wonderful Flight Book Review & Giveaway
Goodnight, Sleep Tight, What a Wonderful Flight is a children's book by Louise Lintvelt. Mrs. Lintvelt has always enjoyed reading since she was young, and her two year old daughter is a source of constant inspiration for her stories. The story follows several different airplanes winding down ad going to to sleep. We get to see what the different planes do during the day and they what they do at night to go to sleep. The planes include a fire plane, a passenger plane, crop duster, air ambulance, and a jet.The story is very cute and the illustrations by Di Thai Thanh are beautiful. The picture for fire plane Jake at night is especially cute with the teddy bear strapped to his wing. My daughter absolutely loved the story. Overall, the story is very cute and great for kids. The book is available in multiple formats on Amazon. You can follow Mrs. Lintvelt at her Author Blog, on Goodreads & Google+, or through her Newsletter Sign-Up. I received the above mentioned book for ...
Product Review – Ozeri Weightmaster II Bath Scale
A few weeks back, I was sent an Ozeri Weightmaster II bath scale from Ozeri. Ozeri makes tons of useful products ranging from kitchen tools to jewelry. I’ve reviewed several Ozeri products in the past, all of which have been excellent. The scale has a digital face and a 30 day memory, displaying not only your current weight, but also how much you have gained or lost since the last time you used it. The display also changes color depending on it weight was gained or lost; green for loss and red for gain. It also has also been treated with Microban to help protect it from accumulating germs. The scale is very sturdy. The face display is clear and very easy to read. I love the memory function and it scrolls through the most recent uses automatically once it reads your weight. It has been very helpful in trying to figure out what diet plan is working best for me. The best part is that it’s designed to auto-recognize up to 8 unique users, so you don’t have to worry about your day to day ...
Product Review – Gerber Bear Grylls Survival Compact Scout Knife
Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. Last week, I was sent a Gerber Bear Grylls Survival Compact Scout Knife from Swords of the East. Swords of the East is an online site that sells swords and knives. The Gerber was founded in 1939 and is based in Portland. They make a large variety of knives for many uses. The Compact Scout knife is about the length of my hand and very light. The blade is a ½ serrated high carbon stainless steel drop point blade (which is supposed to retain its edge), it locks back, and there is a nail nick for easy opening. The handle is grey plastic. It also comes with a fold out survival guide. I’m always looking for a good pocket knife, but I would be a little leery of having to depend on it in a survival situation. The blade is very sharp, but the handle is very flimsy. I would be worried about it breaking in my hand trying to cut branches for kindling or something else where you would be putting a lot of force on the handle. ...
Product Review – Coobie Seamless Bras
A few weeks back, I was sent to Coobie Seamless Bras. Coobie bras are a one size, regular fitting 32A thru 36D and full fitting 38 thru 42D. They have removable pads, adjustable straps, and you can sleep in them. Now, I wouldn’t exactly say that my “girls” are huge, but they are ample since having my daughter. It’s been hard to find a bra that fits right because I’m between sizes and nothing seems very confortable. I have to be careful wearing v-neck and scoop shirts because the girls tend to break out if I bend over. I’m also a firm believer in an underwire, since my past experiences without them haven’t been all that good. My hope was that the bras would be comfortable and fit. I picked out the Scoopneck Full Size & V-neck Full Size. They are made of 88% nylon and 12% spandex, and are very silky feeling. I tried on the Scoopneck first. Surprisingly, it was very comfortable and gave me excellent support. The V-neck was the same. It took me a bit to get used to them since ...
