A few weeks ago, I was asked to try out & review a French Press from Kitchen Supreme. The French Press is glass & chrome, and is good for tea and coffee. It comes with a coffee scoop, 4 extra filter screens, a Unique Spoon (bent to sit on the cup rim), and instructions. I actually picked up a box of Lipton Loose Leaf Tea from the grocery store to try out with this. To start, placed a scoop & a half of tea in the French Press. I then heated up water in my tea kettle. I took it off the heat just before it started whistling so that it wasn’t boiling. I didn’t want to risk breaking the glass, so I let it sit for a minute or so before pouring it into the French Press. After pouring, I let it sit for a minute or so, then gently stirred everything. I then put the lid on with the press all the way up & let if sit for another few minutes before I slowly used the press. It made about two large cups of tea, and the lid kept the heat in very well. It stayed warm for about 2 ...

The Clearer Skin Challenge with Exposed Skincare
A few days ago, I was sent a The Exposed™ Basic Kit 60-Day 5-Piece Kit from Exposed Skincare to try out and review over a 60 days period. The kit includes a Facial Cleanser, Clearing Tonic, Acne Treatment Serum, Clear Pore Serum and the Derm-X Cloth. It’s made of dermatologist approved active ingredients & is an entry level acme treatment. I have really sensitive skin, & it doesn’t take much to aggravate it. I also have a horrible time with acne, even at 31 years old, so I’m always eager to try something out that might help with it. So far, I have been using it the past several days. There are basically two parts to this: the morning routine & the nighttime routine. The only difference between the two is that you use the Acne Treatment Serum during the day and the Clear Pore Serum at night. Due to the strength of the products, you have to start out using very little and slowly work your way up. It takes about two weeks for your skin to adjust to the products, and there ...
Product Review – Dandelion Root Tea
A few weeks ago, I was asked to try out & review KissMe Organic’s Organic Dandelion Root Tea. The tea contains dandelion root, cinnamon, and hibiscus. Dandelion root has Vitamins A, C, D and B-complex plus Iron, Potassium and Zinc, which will help treat mood disorders, liver disorders and boost a weakened immune system. Hibiscus has been shown to help with blood pressure and cinnamon helps reduce cholesterol and reduce blood sugar. I’ve never tried anything with dandelion in it before, so I wasn’t sure how good it’s going to be…especially since the pack I received had five boxes with 20 tea bags a piece in it. Now, after trying it, I will tell you that it is bitter if you drink it straight without anything in it to sweeten it. When I say bitter, I mean very bitter! I have to put a good scoop of sugar in it to be able to drink it. That probably reduces the some of the healthiness some, but I’m slowly trying to lessen how much I put it. I have been drinking at least once cup a ...
Product Review – Smoked Spanish Paprika
A few weeks back, I was sent two types of Smoked Spanish Paprika from Kiva: Hot and Sweet. Kiva carries a wide range of food from around the world. All of their items are sourced directly from local farmers that are eco-friendly. Both of these paprika flavors are made in small batches, and can be used in a wide range of dishes. I have a few recipes that call for smoked paprika and never really thought that there was a difference in taste between it and regular. I was really surprised by the amount of flavor found in both when I first tried them. Both have a hint of smoke flavor that you can immediately taste and smell. The Hot Paprika is fairly warm, so depending on your tolerance for spicy stuff you might want to watch how much you use. The Sweet Paprika hits a good balance between the sweetness and the smoke. It’s sweet, but not overly so. I ended up using both in the Freddy’s Sticky Saucy Barbecued Ribs recipe. It made a huge difference in the taste, bringing out a lot more ...
Spring Is In Bloom at Carter’s
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Carter’s. I received a complimentary gift card to facilitate my review and thank me for my participation. A few days ago, I got to go to my local Carter’s and check out all their new spring clothes and let my daughter do some much needed shopping. Carter’s always has the newest fashions at great prices. Both tees and shorts are available as doorbusters for $6 & $8 (sale runs March 11 – March 25), and there are also all sorts of mix & match playtime favorites. They also have a large assortment of Easter outfits for boys & girls with coordinating accessories, and also My First Easter products for baby. If you’re like me, then you will probably be focusing more on clothes for summer…specifically vacation time. Along with the tees & shorts doorbusters, Carter’s has a huge selection of swimware. Carter’s now offers swimware in sizes 7 – 12 and all the assecories you can think of; towels, ...
Legend of the Neverbeast Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
A few days ago, Disney sent me a copy of Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast on Blu-ray Combo Pack. Fawn (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) loves animals, even the more dangerous one. After the arrival of a green comment, she discovers an animal that she’s never seen before & quickly befriends it, naming it Gruff. However, Gruff’s appearance is tied to the appearance of the comet & is believed to bring about the destruction of Pixie Hollow. Will Fawn and the others discover a way to protect Gruff from the Scout Fairies (let by Nyx) and save Pixie Hollow? While the other fairies appear, the movie primarily focuses on Fawn…which is a bit of a departure from many of the previous Tinkerbell films. The storyline was good & I really enjoyed it, though I think that The Pirate Fairy is still my favorite (has nothing to do with Tom Hiddleston, not at all lying through my teeth). My daughter loved the film and has watched it at least 6 times already. However, I thought that ...
