A few weeks back, I was sent a CratosFit Thigh Toner from CartosFit. It is effective for toning your thighs, triceps, buttocks, hips, pecs, arms & stomach. It is also covered with comfortable foam, and is lightweight. These have been around for a long time. I tried one a long time about but the spring was so tight that it was hard to get it to move. This one has resistance, but not so much that you can’t move it. It’s the perfect amount. The foam is very comfortable, making using the thigh toner that much nicer to use. I think my favorite part is that I can use it for multiple areas…primarily my arms. I’m able to get a more thorough workout that way. I can also use it multiple times a day too without wearing myself out. I tend to use if for a few minutes for each area. I haven’t noticed a huge difference yet, but I have noticed that my arms look a little better. Overall, I think it a great addition to your exercise routine. It’s simple to use & with regular use you ...

Product Review – Glow in the Dark Slime Science Kit
Two weeks ago, I was sent a Glow in the Dark Slime Science Kit by Discover with Dr. Cool to try out and review. The kit comes with everything thing you need to create to different colors of slime; one green & one blue…both of which glow in the dark. It also comes with a bonus activity booklet with games & puzzles as well. My daughter thought that this was the coolest thing ever, and was chomping at the bit to mix of the slime from the moment it arrived in the mail. To mix it up, you need a bowl & some warm water (1 cup). Mix the water & the slime powder in the bowl & use the provided stick to site very quickly. Once it’s mixed, you can keep it in the plastic contains that come in the kit. We attempted the make the blue first. It ended up kind of messed up because the water was a little too warm & my daughter wasn’t stirring it fast enough. We ended up with a small amount that wasn’t very gooey or slimy. I made the second one, the green, with no ...
PINCHme Box – August 2015
Last week, I got this month's big PINCHme box. This month they added in treats & food for pets. Not shown in the pic is two DentaStix. I gave them to my dogs before I took the photo (long but funny story involving a very put out toad). They didn't last long, and the Cesar was a big hit too. So far, I think my favorite has been the Kura Smoothie mix. I mixed with some ice, frozen peaches, and milk. It was very good. The Scotch Brite Extreme Scrub sponge is also great. We've been using it to clean the grill grates (and keeps my husband from messing up my regular sponges). If you've never tried PINCHme before, check them out. You get free samples every month. You can sign up here. You'll get an email when the new samples for the month are ready. ...
Food Review – PurEarth Meal Replacement Bar
A few days ago, I cover two of the items I received in the Gourment Gifter box. Today I’ll cover the other two. PurEarth Meal Replacement Bar PurEarth bars are cold pressed bars. They are vegetarian and have a balanced combination of gluten-free seeds, grains, plant-based proteins, fiber, fruit, and much more. They can replace a whole meal, or just be a snack. I received a pineapple flavored bar. It wasn’t bad. I thought it was a little hard to chew, mostly because it feels thick once it’s in your mouth (that’s the best way I can describe it). The taste was good, and I would love to see what other flavors they come out with. Chili Cheese Corn Puffs I thought these were very good. There is a hint of spice from the chili that goes well with the cheese. My daughter liked them too, but didn’t eat a whole lot of them because of the chili flavor (she was more interested in getting more of the popcorn). Overall, both food items were very good. The meal replacement bar is available ...
Food Review – Colby’s Kettle Corn
A week or so ago, I was sent a Gourmet Gifter box. Gourmet Gifter lets you put together gift baskets featuring chocolates, sweets, healthy snacks, and more. The box I received contains 4 items. Today, I’ll cover two of the times: Colby’s Kettle Corn Salty Sweet Addiction & the Peanut Brittle. Salty Sweet Addiction I love kettle corn, and this was some of the best I’ve had. Colby’s Kettle Corn is 100% all natural, gluten free, low calorie, low in sodium, and is a great source of fiber. It also has no trans-fat, cholesterol, preservative, and MSG. It also tastes great too. It’s sweet, but not overly so, giving a perfect balance between the corn taste & the sweet. Another big plus on this is that the kettle corn is also hand sifted, ensuring that there are no kernels in the bags. It really did not last long. My husband got into it when he got home from work & probably ate nearly half of it. My daughter loves it too. It had to hide up on top of the refrigerator in order to ...
Food Review – Silk Yogurt
A few weeks ago, I was asked to try out the new Silk Yogurt. It’s made with almond milk, making it safe for people who are lactose intolerant or just want to avoid milk. I love the taste of Silk Almond Milk, and get a lot to make lattes & smoothies. When I heard that they were making a yogurt, I was very excited to try it. First, I want to note that I had a hard time finding a store that had this. A lot of stores aren’t carrying it yet, so I had to really drive around to find some. The Walmart in the next town over got it in after about 2 to 3 weeks of looking. I picked up the strawberry flavor. The first thing I noticed was that it was very runny...not all that different from drinkable yogurt. I wasn't expecting that, but it didn't turn me off. At first, the taste was good. You could really taste the strawberry in it, which I liked. However, after the first few bites I started getting a horrible aftertaste, which totally ruined it for me. I ended up not being able to finish ...
