There are thousands of news sites around these days. They cover tons of news items, including local news, international news, entertainment, and politics worldwide. With so much to choose from, it can get pretty tiring trying to shift through thousands of headlines on a single sight just to find one thing in particular. However, there is a new site that is worth taking a look it. It's called Informucate.com, and it's about to change the way you get your news. Informucate.com posts only 12 stories each day. Each story is a top headline for the day and hand selected by the editors. The articles themselves are only about 200 words, and get right to the point of the story. As an added bonus, they include explanations of jargon, concepts, and key terms next to the stories in plain sight in a box...giving you extra insight. For example, they will tell you who each celebrity is on the daily 'Celebrity News' story, or explain out tech terms used in the 'Tech Report'. All of the ...

Book Review – Stone Cold Case by Catherine Dilts
Stone Cold Case by Catherine Dilts is the second novel in the Rock Shop Mysteries. Morgan Iverson is still learning the ropes of running the Rock of Ages. After all the excitement from three months ago, she hopes that everything has settled down. However, during a hiking trip for her geology class she discovers a skeleton hidden in an old dugout. They are believed to be those of Carlee Kruger, who has vanished 15 years ago without a trace. As Morgan & Kurt (the local newspaper editor) investigate, they come across odd clues, fossilized ammonite & a suspect that could pass as Bigfoot. Plus, someone what the past to stay buried & will do anything to ensure it. Will Morgan be able to solve the mystery without becoming a victim herself? This was my first time reading one of Mrs. Dilts’s books, and I really enjoyed it. Once I kgot going, I wasn’t able to put it down. The action starts from the very first chapter, and stays pretty constant through the whole book. All of the ...
TV Review – The Originals: The Complete Second Season
Last week, I received a Blu-ray copy of The Originals: The Complete Second Season. The series is a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries, and follows the Mikaelson family as they struggle to take back control of New Orleans. The second season follows after the events of the first. Werewolves now rule the French Quarter for the first time in centuries, and Klaus is plotting revenge and vows to do anything necessary to protect Hope, his newborn daughter…even if that means war. I have never watched The Vampire Diaries or The Originals before, so I had a lot to catch up on. I hit up all the Wikis I could find in order to get all the background I could on the characters & the first season. There is a lot between both shows & I’m still a little lost on some stuff, but the series is very interesting. The story lines are very interesting, and the show has a lot of dark & humorous moments. I really enjoy the interplay between the vampires, werewolves, and witches. The special ...
Food Review – Carmel Crispy Bar
A few days ago, I received this month’s Gourmet Gifter box. It contained 4 new products to try out. As with the first two posts, I will cover two of the times today. Carmel Crispy Bar The Carmel Crispy Bar caught my attention right away, mostly because my daughter ran off with it once she got a look inside the box & saw it. I assumed that it would have some carmel drizzled on top of it. Instead, it’s coated in it. I think it was mixed in with the marshmallows or something, because that’s all you can taste aside from the puffed rice. It was glorious. And it was really, really sweet. I made it through about half of it before I ended up giving the rest to my daughter. She loved it. PurEarth Nutrition Bar Like the Meal Replacement Bar, these are cold pressed and very healthy for you. The flavor is Cherry Chocolate Almond. I personally didn’t care for this one as much. It lost the flavor once I started chewing it, making it really hard to eat. Overall, the Carmel Crispy Bar was ...
Food Review – Colby’s Cinnamon Roll Popcorn
A few days ago, I received this month’s Gourmet Gifter box. It contained 4 new products to try out. As with the first two posts, I will cover two of the times today. Colby’s Cinnamon Roll Popcorn I was excited to get another flavor of Colby’s Kettle Corn. We all enjoyed the Salty Sweat addiction last month, and couldn’t wait to try this one. I thought it was delicious. The cinnamon is not too heavy & not too light. Its goes well with the flavor of the popcorn. My husband wasn’t as crazy about it as he was the previous flavor, but he’s not a bit fan of eating stuff with cinnamon. My daughter liked it, and I had to utilize the refrigerator once again to keep it from her. Butter Toffee Peanuts These tasted every bit as good as they looked. They only have four ingredients, peanuts, sugar, butter & salt, but you would never think it by how they taste. They are full of flavor and I ended up buzzing through half the bag before I realized it. Overall, both of these items were a ...
Product Review – Best Running Armband for Samsung Galaxy
A few weeks ago, I was sent a Best Running Armband for Samsung Galaxy (S6, S5, S4, S3) from i2 Gear to try out and review. Aside from fitting the Galaxy series, it will also hold a HTC One. It also has a card slot/money holder & key holder too, and will fit around arms 9 to 15 inches around. I had a Neoprene armband once & couldn’t stand wearing it for more than 10 minutes at a time. It was uncomfortable & would make my skin sweat. This armband is much, much better. It is very easy to put your phone in & then put on. It’s very light & once it’s on, it didn’t slide around at all. The holding pockets are great, especially the one a key. The band is designed to keep moisture away from the phone. There is also a reflector going around the front too, which help gives extra visibility for people out in the mornings or evenings. I wore it a good chunk of the day. As I mentioned earlier, it didn’t move around any and stayed in place. It was comfortable and after a ...
