A few weeks ago, I was asked to try out and review the Backseat Car Organizer with Visor Organizer from Francy Mobility. The organizer has a multitude of pockets to fit any number of items in, as well as two drink holder pockets & a button strap to hold pacifiers or rattles. The visor organizer has a small mesh pocket, a larger one, and a few pen holders. The backseat of my car typically suffers from ‘hamstercageitis’, being that my daughter tends to drag a large number of things into it. I’m still finding acorns back there from her last visit to the park. Lately, there have been a lot of pairs of sunglasses, gloves, and things like that back there. The organizer is quick and simple to put in. There is a top strap that goes around the headrest and a bottom strap that goes around the seat. The entire back of the seat is covered by the organizer. The pockets are all good sizes and can hold a lot of stuff. I don’t have much in it right now, but it will be very handy once the ...

Product Review – Toil in Soil Garden Sickle
A few weeks back I was sent a garden sickle from Toil in the Soil. The sickle is 15.75 inches long and features a serrated stainless steel blade and an ash wood handle. Let it not be said that I don’t receive really cool products for review. I’ve already decided to plant a whole bunch of corn in my garden this spring so that I can do a ‘He Who Walks Between the Rows’ bit at Halloween to scare the trick-or-treaters. The blade is very sharp, and I’m glad that it comes with a sturdy blade cover. It’s pretty light weight and is comfortable to use. Now, I’ve haven’t gotten to use it a whole lot yet. The weather has been unbelievable the past month. I would have never thought that I would be having multiple tornado warnings the day after Christmas…but then that’s what I get for living in Texas. I have used in on several bunches of weeds that grown up around the bricks on the front flowerbed. It’s mostly crabgrass that is hard to get out. It went through them like a knife through ...
Product Review – Women’s Knitted Gloves
Last week I was sent a pair of women’s knitted gloves from FuzzyGreen. The gloves are a finger-less vintage design with faux fur around the hands. They are available in a variety of colors. I received the black pair. I was surprised at how comfortable the gloves were. I expected them to be itchy, especially with the fur. However, they weren’t & are very warm. They have come in handy on the handful of chilly days while I was waiting for my daughter to get out of school. Now, I won’t wear them to drive with since they don’t grip very well on the steering wheel, but I quickly slip them on before I get out of the car. Plus, they go with just about any outfit. Overall, these are a great pair of gloves. They are comfortable, warm, and go with most outfits. They are currently available on Amazon. The prices will vary depending on the color. I received the above mentioned product for free to help facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% my own. ...
TxTpressions Bandage Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
Last week, I was sent a gift pack of TxTpressions Bandages from Gotta Bandage. I reviewed a different style of their bandages a few months back. These bandages feature emoticons and text expressions on them in vibrant colors. We've all been sick with an assortment of sinus infections as of late, so we didn't get to use the bandages a whole lot. However, my daughter has been plastering them all over herself...primarily her bellybutton. They stay one pretty well considering how much running around she does. She really love the ones with the faces the best (those are the ones she puts on her belly). Overall, the bandages are very cute and a great change from plain bandages. You can check out all of the other products that Gotta Bandage has on their website. I received the above mentioned items for free to help facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% my own. The Giveaway Gotta Bandage wants to give one lucky reader their own gift pack that includes 2 TxTpressions ...
Movie Review – PAN
A few days ago, I was sent an early Blu-ray copy of PAN from Warner Bros. PAN is a prequel story to Peter Pan, telling the origin story of both Peter and Captain Hook. Peter is a 12-year-old rebellious boy living in an orphanage during WWII London. After running afoul of the matron, he is taken by pirates to Neverland. Once there, he learns that he is destined to be a hero and defeat Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman). With the help of Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara) and a miner named James Hook (Garrett Hedlund), Peter must learn who he is & believe in himself in order to save Neverland. I wasn’t sure what to except with this movie. I had heard a little bit about it, and most of that wasn’t good. So I tried to keep an open mind when I watched it. My daughter sat down with me to watch it too (she’s 5). The movie jumps right into the action from the beginning. We are treated to a London air raid, which is followed up by the London Air Force chasing a flying pirate ship around the skyline. Even ...
Book Review – Sweetheart Deal by Linda Joffe Hull
Sweetheart Deal by Linda Joffe Hull is the third novel in the Mrs. Frugalicious Shopping Mystery series. Maddie Michaels and her family find themselves whisked off to a posh Mexican Resort for her reality tv show. Though the episode will focus on budget friendly destination weddings (her producer got a great deal on her wedding by agree to film there), they quickly find themselves in the middle of yet another murder mystery when the timeshare sales manager is found face down in one of the pools not too long after making a pass at Maddie. With thoughts of an Emmy-award winning episode on their mind, the products extend the trip and turn it into an investigation and have to qualms about involving the entire family. Was it really an accident or preplanned for the show? Maddie can’t help but begin to question the motives of everyone around her, from the producers to her all-but-ex husband, and fears that she is way on over her head. I haven’t read the first two books, so I was scared ...
