A few weeks ago, I was sent some ceiling tiles from Decorative Ceiling Tiles. They sell a variety of easy to install ceiling tiles. They sell tin ceiling tiles, drop ceiling tiles, moldings, and more. You can use the tiles for all sorts of decorating ideas . . . not just for the ceiling. I was sent one faux tin ceiling tile, and one foam tile. The tin tile is a rich copper color and has a very ornate pattern. The material is thin and durable, and easily withstood Hannah's attempts to run around with it. She got a hold of it after I first took it out of the box. After some debating, I've decided to place the tile on the wall in the dinning room. It will go between two large oriental paintings. Now, the foam tile has been the most fun. At first I had no idea what to do with it. I figured on putting it somewhere on the wall, but, beyond that, I had no clue. My mom said that it would look neat with pictures on it. We bounded some ideas around and eventually decided on this: ...

UGLee Pen Review and Giveaway [ENDED]
A few weeks ago, I was sent a set of three UGLee pens. UGLee pens were created by a doctor to have the best, most comfortable grip available on a ergonomic pen. They also have the smoothest ink system, and the pen is extremely light. I had figured on this pen being more of a gimmick than anything else, but I was surprised at how comfortable it was to use. I have been having ongoing problems in my right hand for some months now, which has made holding anything small either very painful and nearly impossible. We have several different pens floating around the house, each with various grips on them. All of them have been increasingly uncomfortable for me to write with. As I mentioned above, I figured the UGLee pen would be the same and almost dreaded trying it out. I was very surprised at how nice it was. The grip is perfect size to rest between my fingers without me having to really hold onto it. It's very light and you don't have to press down too much to get the ink to come out. ...
UPrinting Die-cut Business Cards Review and Giveaway [ENDED]
UPrinting.com offers various printing solutions that are very affordable. I was recently invited to try out their die-cut business cards. You can pick from a variety of cut shapes and paper types. There is a 6 business day turnaround time and free shipping in the US only. I found the process of creating the cards to be fun. I will warn you that they do not have templates like other sites do. You need to have a fairly good idea of what you want ahead of time before you start. I decided that I would make cards for my photography and design site, GO Studios. They had a large assortment of stock images, should you need them, starting at $1 each. I ended up making a quick logo on my computer and uploading it to the design app. From there, I started typing in my information . . . which only took a few minutes. Once I had everything the way I wanted, I submitted the card and proceded to checkout. About 2 days later, UPrinting.com called to verify the order and to tell me that ...
Product Review – Mixbook Custom 5×7 Flat Holiday Cards
Recently I was asked to create a set of 30 holiday cards on Mixbook.com Mixbook offers several customizable items, including calenders and photo books. You can create your own unique items or use one of their templates. I decided to make some Christmas cards with a photo of Hannah. After browsing their holiday photo card page, I picked out the perfect template. From there, I went into their creator applet and uploaded my photo. After uploading, I was able to resize the photo and make other adjustments. I was also able to edit the text on both the front and back of the card. It took me about 10 minutes total to create the perfect Christmas card. After the order when through, the cards took about a week or so to arrive in the mail. They looked absolutely adorable. Overall, I really loved the cards. It was quick and easy, and the prices are pretty good too. The prices will vary depending on the type, size, and number of cards you want. You also have several methods of ...
Product Review – iPhone Pocket Sketches Notebook
I've been looking at these Pocket Sketches notebooks for two weeks now, and I'm still not sure what purpose they serve. The sketchbook has 16 pages: 8 graph pages and 8 pages with the image of an iPhone. The only other features it offers is on the front and back covers, consisting of "personal info 'return book'" and a revenue/profit matrix...both of which serve no purpose whatsoever. The notebook itself is about the size of an iPhone. While it will fit in your pocket, I don't think there is enough room on the pages to sketch out a good visual concept. The kicker is that you are expected to pay $8 for only one notebook. You can a full sized art sketch book for that price. Hell, you can get more use out of a pack of notebook paper and it only costs $1 (or 50¢ during 'Back to School' at WalMart). For $8 I would expect something the size of a composition notebook at least. Overall, I am completely unimpressed with this product. It's a complete waste of money. I received one or ...
Product Review – KidSwitch
KidSwitch is a light switch extender that glows in the darks. It's makes it easier and safer for your children to turn their lights on and off. It works for both toggle and decora switches. To attach it to a toggle switch, all you have to do is remove the normal screws from the faceplate, affix the KidSwitch, and then screw in the new screws provided with the KidSwitch. To install one for a decora switch, all you have to do is stick on an adapter. There's no messing around with screws. I absolutely love the KidSwitch. It only took a few seconds to install and Hannah is already learning to use it. I also like that it glows in the dark. It makes it easier for me to find the light in the middle of the night. It sells for $8.95 for a toggle, and $9.95 for a decora. They also offer multi-packs at great prices. You can purchase them at the KidSwitch website. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. All options are 100% my own. ...
