Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. A few days ago, I was sent some of Nestle’s Seasonal Holiday candy. Nestle makes a large assortment of candy, including Butterfingers, Wonka products and many more. Their Seasonal Holiday candy is only available during the holiday season. I was send a Wonka Nerds Rope and a box of Wonka Pixy Stix filled Candy Canes. The Nerds Rope didn’t last too long, since both my husband and daughter love them. I held over the candy canes because I decided I wanted to make some Candy Cane Bark. I haven’t made it in years, so I figured that it would make for a good snack for Christmas. It's mostly the same as making Almond Bark. Here is my own original recipe: Ingredients 24 oz. Almond Bark Vanilla Flavord Coating 1 box of Wonka Pixy Stix Candy Canes Cookie sheet covered with parchment paper Food processor Directions Break up the candy canes into prices and put them in the food processor. Pulse until they are ...

Product Review — Zaycon Foods
Several months ago, I got to work with Zaycon Foods & was given a gift code to order 40 lbs. of their free-range, fresh chicken breasts. Zaycon has provided fresh meats & organic produce for over 10 years. It comes directly from the local farm to you, so you are getting everything at it’s freshest. All of their products are sold by the case, and the prices are unbelievably low. They have delivery events all across the country. I was able to get my chicken at the Sunnyvale Baptist Church in Mesquite, which is about 15 to 20 minutes from my house. I was told that we would pull up and once we were checked in, that the car would be loaded. When we got there, there was a huge line. Cars were wrapping around the entire lot area and back around to the entrance. However, we moved pretty quickly and were through the line in about 8 minutes. The truck guys put down a big sheet of place in the back of my car to protect it just in case the boxes dripped a little. Once we ...
Product Review — V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers
A few days ago, I was sent a few bottles of V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers to try out. V8 V-Fusion Refreshers have a blend of fruit and vegetable juices that the entire family will enjoy. I was sent bottles of Tangerine Passionfruit & Cranberry Grape. I normally pass on regular V8 since I don’t like tomatoes, so I was happy to try these. The bottles arrived the morning right before I went out of town for the weekend at FenCon, so my husband & daughter got into them first. My daughter loves both flavors. My husband wasn’t overly fond of the Tangerine Passionfruit, but he did like the other. My daughter drank a good bit of them before I got home, but I was able to try some. I loved both flavors. You don’t really taste and vegetables in there and the fruit taste isn’t overly strong. It’s very well blended. I’m definitely going to be picking up some more, as well as trying out the other flavors. Overall, I really liked the V8 V-Fusion Refreshers. They taste great and ...
Product Review — Matcha DNA
For the past two weeks, I have been trying out Matcha DNA. Matcha is a powered green tea that is very healthy for you to drink. It’s grown in China & is also used for tea ceremonies in Japan. I’m not a big green tea drink, but my husband is. He was very excited about trying it out since it’s one we don’t normally get. I received a bag with 34 single serve pouches. Preparation is pretty easy. Once you boil your water, you want to put to warm up your cup. I did this by filling it up with the hot water, then emptying it out. You then add in the tea powder, & then your water. You will then want to stir it very well to make sure that all of the powder dissolves. You can use a spoon or a small whisk. It tastes really good. It’s not overly strong and tastes just like what you would get in restaurants. My husband loves it and has already gone through a good bit of the pouches. I also like it, though it’s hard to get any since my husband conveniently uses up all the ...
Product Review – Natur’el Tea
A few weeks ago, I was sent some samples of Natur’el Tea. Natur’el Tea has a large variety loose leaf tea to choose from. All the teas are imported and mixed at their stores, which is based out of Canada. I got to pick out five flavors to try.I love loose leaf tea and was very excited to try them out. The tea was organized by type, and each type has a ton of varieties. Most of the varieties are available year round, but a few aren't. After browsing around the site for quite some time, I pick out the following teas: Daily Detox, Creamy Earl Grey, Cinnamon Plum, Houjicha, and Stress Relieving. The Daily Detox and Stress Relieving were my favorites by far. The stress reliving tea wasn’t too strong or too weak, while the detox was sweet with a hint of spice. Houjicha is a green tea that is usually found at retreats at Lake Motosuko in the Japanese Alps. I picked this one out for my husband because he loves green tea. It was very strong and he loved it. The Creamy Earl Grey was ...
Product Review – Sencha Shots
A while back, I was asked to try out Sencha Shots, small cans of very concentrated tea that are healthy for you. Sencha Shots are made by ITO EN. ITO EN is a company who cares about the environment and social responsibility. We recycle our used tea leaves from production and upcycle them to make park benches, uniforms, pens and more. We work with Whole Foods Non-profit Whole planet to alleviate poverty in the developing worlds, and much more. These shorts are high in caffeine and are intended to be used as a coffee or espresso replacement. I was sent two flavors, green and oolong. I had a lot of difficulty with this one due to shipping issues and poor communication with the company. As with all reviews done through Tomoson, you are given a few weeks to receive the product and get the review done. If you go past the deadline, it’s late and it drops your rating. After over three weeks of waiting, I hadn’t received my samples. I contacted the rep through Tomoson several times and ...
