I'd been looking for any sort of mirror or activity station to attach to Hannah's crib...so she would stop trying to chew her way out. I didn't want anything overly huge or bulky, but wasn't too sure what to get. Eventually, I ran across this at Wal-Mart. Hannah immediately saw it and was all but lunging out of the shopping cart trying to get it off the shelf. I figured it was worth a try since Hannah seemed to be really taken with it. Attaching it to the side of the crib is easy. It ties on with two thick strings. So far they have held up very well under Hannah's daily assaults. I was worried at first about them coming undone, but I've noticed that the knots get tighter the more she pulls on it. If fact, I can't get one of them undone anymore. The base of the mirror has four activity feet: two of them are rattles, one squeaks, and the other jingles. The mirror itself has withstood hours of drool, poking, kicking, and chewing...and still looks almost new. The best ...

Product Review: Bumbo Seat
My mother-in-law, Sandy, made a big fuss about these and said I needed to buy one. I told her I wasn't about to spend $40 on one when Hannah could already sit up at 2 1/2 months. She ended up buying two at a yard sale and brought them over. Hannah has used the lilac one several times and once with the tray. She sits at such an odd angel in it that it makes her uncomfortable. She won't sit still in it and will quickly climb out of it. Her legs also get wedged in the leg holes at times as well. The tray is good because I can put her food on it...but that only occupies her for a few minutes before she's trying to get out of it again. Bumbos are good if your baby is just starting to sit up, but after that they are pretty useless. It's not worth the $40 to only be able to use it about a month or two. ...
Product Review: VentAire 6oz. Bottles
My mother-in-law picked up two of these for me. The VentAire bottles are supposed to keep your baby from having gas, colic, and spit-up issues by venting out the air while he/she drinks. To achieve this, they have an angled bottle and a two piece bottom with air holes and seal. I've always heard good reviews about these bottles so I was eager to use them. However, they had some problems. First of all, they leak...a lot, and for no apparent reason. At first I though I either forgot the seal at the bottom or didn't have the top/bottom screwed on all the way. As it turns out, no matter how tight you have everything screwed on, formula still manages to leak out around the nipple and the holes at the bottom. It's especially bad while shaking the bottle. I lost count of how may times I found formula splatter on the blinds and wall...and that's with the protective cap on over the nipple. Second, there are no latex nipples available for these bottles that I could find. Only the ...
Product Review: Mylicon
Mylicon Gas Relief is a total life saver!! Hannah has a lot of problems with gas due to her formula, and since I started her on mylicon it's been a lot better. It's a little pricy, but it's worth it. Pros: -- use at every feeding -- can be mixed with formula or given with dropper -- $2 off coupon in every box Cons: -- costs almost $7 at Wal-Mart ...
