The Health Care Bill passed 220-215 last night. Over thirty states are now gearing up to file suit with the government, and I hope that my state of Texas will join them. I'm so mad right now. My coverage is bad enough as it is, and now we might loose it by the start of next year depending on what WalMart decides. I urge everyone who is against this legislation to start contacting those in your state who voted yes. When November come I hope that they all get voted out. There is a full list of all the yes votes after the jump. Here is the full list. All those from Texas are highlighted. Republican Yes Votes: Joe Cao (La.-2) Democrat Yes Votes: Neil Abercrombie (Hawaii-1) Gary L. Ackerman (N.Y.-5) Robert E. Andrews (N.J.-1) Michael Arcuri (N.Y.-24) Joe Baca (Calif.-43) Tammy Baldwin (Wis.-2) Melissa Bean (Ill.-8) Xavier Becerra (Calif.-31) Shelley Berkley (Nev.-1) Howard L. Product Review: Mylicon
Mylicon Gas Relief is a total life saver!! Hannah has a lot of problems with gas due to her formula, and since I started her on mylicon it's been a lot better. It's a little pricy, but it's worth it. Pros: -- use at every feeding -- can be mixed with formula or given with dropper -- $2 off coupon in every box Cons: -- costs almost $7 at Wal-Mart ...
trouble with the brats next door
I ended up having to go over next door and talk with the mother of the bratty kids next door. They were throwing sticks at my dog, Tobi, again. They were getting him to come up to the fence and once he would start to bark at them they would throw stuff at him and yell. My mom was watching them through he window and they saw her but kept it up. I ended up going out there and yelling at them, and they stopped for a bit then started back up again. They were also throwing stuff at my car as well.I hate going over to talk to the mom because she's a bit flaky...and sort of crazy. But it's really bad when you have to tell your neighbor that besides throwing stuff, her kids are peeing on the side of their house. She was absolutely mortified, but then again it's her fault they carry on that way. She doesn't parent them at all; they run around like a couple of wild animals. I don't want Hannah to look out her window once she starts toddling and seeing them doing that kind of stuff. ...
slow, quiet day
It's been pretty quiet today. Hannah slept through the night and has been in a fairly good mood today, although she was not thrilled with the bath she got. It's like she transforms into Stewie from Family Guy the minute she touches the water. She gives me all these 'go to hell' looks. I almost expect her to call me vile woman. ...
Hannah learned a new trick
My mom spent the night last night to make sure I slept. That put my husband out because he wanted to have sex I wouldn't since my mom was in the next room. I could just picture her barging in the room asking "What wrong?!?!" and "Are you alright?!?!" if she heard some sounds. So also spent the day to make sure I didn't have any reactions to the steroids since Jason was at work. She was feeding Hannah her afternoon bottle when Hannah started giving her the finger. Needless to say, mom was not amused. I thought is was funny and eventualy mom was laughting too. She said the Hannah was telling her 'she's #1'.Mom is supposed to be back tomorrow, so I'm going to see if it happens again so I can get a picture of it. ...
Crappy day yesterday
Well, I attempt to go to two different doctors yesterday morning and had no luck. I spend most of the day yesterday waiting for my regular doctor to call in a prescription for my supposed poison ivy outbreak, which turned out to be steroids...which he knows I'm allergic to. I then went to the emergency car clinic in Forney and they told me that it was an allergic reaction to the current medication I was taking for the supposed leg infection, and they sent me to the emergency room. Some poor guy ended up spending over 45 minutes trying to find a vein to get an iv in. Upon giving up, he called in a nurse. She proceeded to flip the bed up so I was hanging upside down, like one of those Teeter Hangups, and stuck the iv in my neck. Yes...my neck. MY FRIGGEN NECK!!! I'd rather have them cut my hand open with a rusty nail before I ever go through that again. It hurt like hell...and I couldn't move my head.As it turns out, the infection in my leg is actually a delayed allergic ...
