Motherhood is such a beautiful experience. The moment you become a mother, you're automatically thinking of ways to care for your baby. However, it's really easy to care so much for the baby that you forget about yourself. Consider these four ways to stay stylish, beautiful and balanced as a new mother. 1. Self-Care Weekly Dates Get your manicures and pedicures. Go to the spa and unwind with a massage. Sit down with a therapist so that you can check in and make sure you're mentally managing and processing it all. Do this on a weekly basis. It's so important to do because you have to put yourself first. If you don't take care of yourself, you'll be useless to everyone else. 2. Baby Care Rituals If you love yoga, there are lots of baby yoga classes and online tutorials to consider. This can be a great way to take care of your physical and mental health. It also encourages your little one to get started in this practice as well. Granted, you might not be able to practice a ...
Give the Best Gift to Mom this Mother’s Day with CanvasPop
Moms have one of the toughest, yet most rewarding jobs, in the world: being a mom. Being a mom isn’t easy. Trust me, I know firsthand. Mothers take care of you and support you in all that you do. They see you at your best and worst. And they never stop caring for you, even when you are gown & have children of your own. That’s why we have Mother’s Day. It’s a special day just for them so that we can let them know how much we love them and how thankful we are for having them in our lives. What gift have you received that's your favorite? A canvas print? Mug? Craft? My daughter has made me some truly wonderful Mother’s Day gifts over the years. She is very crafty, so she tends to make all of her gifts herself. She made planters, garden stepping stones, and even jewelry. However, my absolute favorite gift is the one she made at school last year. It’s a cute photo of her blowing me kisses, and it’s been up on my cubical wall at work since she gave it to me. I get lots of comments on ...
How To Finally Start Saving Money
There are very few people who would turn down a little extra money each month. However, daily life is expensive and many of us find it quite difficult to save the money we need to do the things we love each month. If you have a hard time putting away a little extra cash each month, here's how to reduce your expenses and finally start saving money. Get Rid Of Unnecessary Expenses Many of us are paying for things we don't even use. For example, if you only use your phone to make calls but pay for an expensive data plan, you're essentially throwing cash in the garbage every single month. Another great example of wasteful spending is a timeshare. Many people sign up for timeshares only to realize that they never have time to actually take vacations. Getting out of a timeshare can be tricky, but there are services that can help. Write Out A Plan Saying that you're going to simply save some extra money each month is vague and leaves too much room for you to neglect to actually stick to ...
3 Hotels That You Should Consider for Your Next Conference in Cairo
Anyone who’s hosted a conference will attest to the fact that it’s about much more than picking a clean room. You need a hotel with enough available space for all of your attendees, and the local availability of decent meals or refreshments being served is key. If you’re presenting digital materials, equipment is another concern. Furthermore, you want to host in an area where attendees won’t mind spending their off hours, and transportation is readily available. In Cairo, there are some great hotels that can help with all of the above, and we’ve picked three of the best. 1. The Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir Attendees can enjoy the action in Tahrir Square when they’re not getting down to business at the Steigenberger. It’s perfectly positioned near the Cairo International Airport, the Cairo International Conference Center, and the Cairo Opera House. For meetings, the Steigenberger offers half a dozen meeting rooms which come in a range of sizes for your specific needs. There are ...
Product Review – Ancord Bluetooth Shower Speaker
Last week, I was asked to try out and review the Ancord Bluetooth shower speaker. The speaker can connect to your phone via Bluetooth, to an MP3 player with an aux cable, or play audio from an SD card. You can also answer phone calls as well. Its waterproof (IPX6) & shockproof, and has s strap for hanging. I’ve never had a Bluetooth speaker before, so I was very excited to try this out. I’m a little behind the times as far as MP3s go. I still use an MP3 player since I don’t like to eat up space on my phone with them…so having the aux port is a big plus for me. When you turn the speaker one, it tells you what mode you are in. You can cycle though modes by quick pressing the power button. There’s Bluetooth, which it’s default setting, and then FM radio. It took me a bit to figure out how to get it to aux mode. You have to wait to plug in the cord until after it tells you that you are in Bluetooth mode. The sound it puts out is really good. If fact, it can be surprisingly ...
Product Review – The Upbra
A few months back, I was asked to try out the Upbra. The Upbra is, obviously, a bra that lets you increase your cleavage by lifting your breasts up comfortable. They have several bra types available and a bikini top as well. I was sent a Perfect T-Shirt bra and a Convertible bra. I’m going to try to explain how these bras work, so bear with me. I’m sure the Upbra makes can explain this a lot better. The bra work using two crisscrossing straps that can be hooked into multiple slots running the length of the underwires. The straps in turn adjust something built into the cups (a sturdy covered piece of plastic I think). The farther up the underwire you adjust the strap, the more it pushes you up. I wasn’t too sure how these bras would do. In order to fit them, I used the online fitting app on my phone. It was a little awkward being it took assorted measurements of my breasts while holding the phone up to them. It took only a few minutes and it surprisingly picked out a good ...
