Forget about spring cleaning, winter time is still a very good time to prioritize your home and work improvement projects and figure out what needs completing. If you’ve put a stop to current projects that are lingering because you’re feeling overwhelmed with the impending holidays or you have too many things to do period, take a deep breath and begin to prioritize your work and home improvement projects. You can complete them one at a time! Make a list It’s probably been a while since you looked over your list of possible home and work projects, huh? That’s okay – when feeling overwhelmed it’s easy to bury the pile at the bottom of a pile of magazines or place it somewhere deep inside your desk. Make a brand new list and don’t hold back. Instead include it all, from implementing a way to automate your marketing online to redoing a guest bedroom. Product Review – Cel-Lab Pedometer and Activity Tracker Band
Last week, I was sent a Cel-Lab Pedometer and Activity Tracker Band to test out and review. The tracker is a small device that you charge by hooking to your computer via a USB charger. You can then slip it into the band once charged. It connects to your phone through Bluetooth and will work with Android and Apple devices. The device tracks steps and sleep, and also has an alarm function. I was very interested in trying this out because I have been looking for an inexpensive alternative for my Jawbone UP24, which recently went the way of the Monty Python parrot. The device is pretty small and come with a special holder so you can charge it. I let it charge overnight and then slipped it into the band. My mom wanted to try it out first, so I installed the tracking app (J-Style Health) on her phone. To our dismay, it didn’t work and never even saw the band. She wore the band for a day or so and I kept trying to sync it, but didn’t have any luck. Surprisingly, I was able to get it to ...
Memory Blank by John E. Stith
Memory Blank is a science fiction mystery/thriller by John E. Stith. Cal Donely wakes up with most of his memories of the last twelve years gone and covered in blood. He knows he is on the orbital colony Daedalus, but doesn’t remember leaving Earth. His only companion is Vincent, his wise-cracking wristcomp. He quickly discovers that someone is after him. Will he get his memories back in time to discover what is going on and keep his family safe? The story started out a little slow, but did steadily pick up once it got going. The character development was good, but a few characters could have been fleshed out more. You could really feel Cal's desperation and confusion. I also would have liked to have seen a little more world building. The plot really kept me guessing. I spent a good portion of the book thinking that Cal might actually have been the bad guy. Unfortunately, the ending was little lackluster. I thought the confrontation on the shuttle would have made the more ...
Product Review – Bath Bomb Gift Set
Last week, I was asked to try out and review the Bath Bomb Gift Set from TorgugaLife. The set comes with 6 bath bombs and a bottle of bubble bath soap, and comes is a round box. Each bath bomb is 4.5 ounces and can be used in foot spas, bathtubs, and jet spas. The bombs also won’t leave rings around the tub. I don’t take a lot of baths anymore, but I do enjoy using bombs and soaks when I do take them. The bombs are very big and fizzed for quite a while. I’m congested so I wasn’t able to smell it very well, but everyone else said it smelled nice. The bomb made the water feel silky and the bath was very enjoyable. My skin was also very soft afterwards as well. The best thing (for me anyway) is that it didn’t irritate my skin, which is very sensitive. Overall, this is a very nice bath bomb set. I’m looking forward to using the other and trying out the bubble bath too. This would definitely make a great last-minute Christmas gift. It’s available on Amazon for $31.50 (+ ...
