Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 picks up a few months after the first left off. After a run-in the Sovereign race, which was mostly Rocket’s fault, Peter Quill meets his father who is Ego the Living Planet. Ego convinces him to come to his planet so that he can learn his destiny. However, Ego isn’t exactly as friendly as he seems, and Peter must decide what makes a father: being blood or being the man who raised him.
Disney sent me a digital copy of the movie. I cannot sing the praises of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 enough. It was such a great movie and had so many moments. It’s hard to talk about without giving spoilers, so I’ll pick out my favorite stuff.
Dave Batista totally stole every scene he was in with his deadpan delivery, and Kurt Russel always makes a great villain. My favorite part was the Marry Poppins one-liner from Michael Rooker. My co-workers have agreed that it was the best line of the movie. He also had a tear-jerker scene so keep some tissues handy. Baby Groot was also super adorable and there have been many plushies popping up around the office since the movie came out.
Overall, it is a must see. And make sure that you watch the credits all the way though. There are 5 additional scenes, once of which is the set up for the next Guardians movie. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is now available on both Digital and Blu-ray.
I received the above mentioned product for free for a review. All opinions are 100% my own.
