Home Decor Ideas

October 30, 2016

Home decor ideasMany homeowners try to change their decor based on the seasons, but fall flat when it comes to ideas, time, and storage. While you want to turn your home into a fall festival that looks and feels like a pumpkin spice latte, it’s hard to find the right elements without going over budget. Fortunately, we have a few tips for you.

Look around your space and identify opportunities for a seasonal upgrade. If you have a blue couch, small throw pillows in autumn colors can replace your yellow pillows for summer. Unused wall space is great for seasonal decor, and never underestimate the power of a candle.

Even your bigger furniture can get remodeled! Slip covers and duvets make it easy to transition a home from a spring getaway to a cool summer bungalow. If you’re not covering the bigger pieces, move them around to make a room more spread out, or bring it in to create a cozy feel — perfect for snuggling around the fire during the cool winter months.

Remember: the best decor is something you can use year-round without having to move. Christmas Lights, Etc creates LEDs that change through the season, from cheery during the holidays to welcoming during the summer. A small adjustment to the lighting is often all it takes to set the right mood. Check out the infographic below for a full list of home decoration tips for the seasons. You’ll soon approach your home with a fresh perspective and some of the best decor on the block.
