A few days ago, I was sent a support and compression knee brace from Onager Sports. The brace is adjustable and will fit adults with a leg circumference between 11” to 21′ above the knee. It’s made of flexible neoprene that is moisture-wicking, has side lateral stabilizer, and won’t slip down your leg.
I typically use a compression sleeve for my knee from time to time. I still get a lot of swelling even though it’s been several years since my surgery. The bad thing about the sleeves, aside from lack of support, is that if my knee is really swollen then it won’t go on easily & ends up being way too tight. I’ve been looking for an adjustable brace to use, so I was interested in checking this one out.
I was a little hesitant about it due to it being neoprene. I expected it to be really hot and uncomfortable. However, it wasn’t too bad. It’s adjustable with very well made Velcro straps, so I didn’t have to worry about if my knee was swollen. If it starts getting too hot, then I can quickly & easily readjust it. The brace itself is very comfortable and I can wear it for long periods of time. My skin stayed fairly cool as long as I was inside, but once I was out in the heat it got a little uncomfortable after a while. I live in Texas so it doesn’t really surprise me.
Overall, it’s a very nice brace. It’s comfortable and gives great support. It also stays fairly cool as long as it’s not overly hot outside. It’s available on Amazon for $11.95 (+ shipping).
I received the above mentioned product at a discount for a review. All opinions are 100% my own.
I have a bum knee that gives me problems so I thought I would give this knee support a try. I find it very comfortable. It doesn’t bunch up at the back of the knee when bending. It breathes very well so it didn’t get itchy or too hot. My knee feels very supported.
