Product Review – Leather Nova

Last week, I was sent several Leather Nova products to test out and review. Leather Nova products are made with natural and non-toxic ingredients, making them environmentally friendly. I products I received were the Leather Cleaner, Leather Conditioner, and Leather Conditioner & Cleaner. Each cleaning product also comes with its own applicator/towel.

I have a leather couch, loveseat, and chair set in my living room. My husband bought them when he first bought the house shortly before we started dating, so they are around 10 years old. The couch has the most wear from sitting on it all the time (and one of the dogs licked some of the color off in a few spots), but all in all still looks mostly new. We’ve never used any type of cleaner on it, so I was curious to see what it would do.

I started out with the Leather Cleaner on right armrest (one closest to the door). It’s in a spray bottle & comes with a microfiber towel. It use, spray the cleaner directly on the towel and then clean the leather. I was surprised at how much dirt was coming off. I never realized that it was that dirty. Once it was clean and dried completely, I used the Leather Conditioner & Cleaner. Like the cleaner, you apply it directly to the enclosed sponge and wipe it on, then allow it to dry for an hour. After that, you buff it dry. The armrest was left very clean and soft to the touch, & it had a nice shine to it.

I used the Leather Conditioner & Cleaner on the other armrest so that I could compare the results. For this one, you apply the liquid onto the enclosed sponge and then apply it to the leather. After allowing it to dry for 30 to 45 minutes, you can buff it gently with a soft towel. Again, I was surprised at the amount of dirt that came off. However, once dry and buffed, it didn’t quite have the shine that the other armrest had.

Overall, all three cleaners are great, but I think I like the Leather Cleaner & Leather Conditioner the best. All three products are available on both the Leather Nova website & Amazon. You can get more info about the cleaners by visiting the Leather Nova website.
