Legend of the Neverbeast Review & Giveaway [ENDED]

March 17, 2015

legendoftheneverbeastA few days ago, Disney sent me a copy of Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast on Blu-ray Combo Pack. Fawn (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) loves animals, even the more dangerous one. After the arrival of a green comment, she discovers an animal that she’s never seen before & quickly befriends it, naming it Gruff. However, Gruff’s appearance is tied to the appearance of the comet & is believed to bring about the destruction of Pixie Hollow. Will Fawn and the others discover a way to protect Gruff from the Scout Fairies (let by Nyx) and save Pixie Hollow?

While the other fairies appear, the movie primarily focuses on Fawn…which is a bit of a departure from many of the previous Tinkerbell films. The storyline was good & I really enjoyed it, though I think that The Pirate Fairy is still my favorite (has nothing to do with Tom Hiddleston, not at all lying through my teeth). My daughter loved the film and has watched it at least 6 times already.

However, I thought that the ending was kind of sad. It takes the entire movie for everyone to accept Gruff, only for them to lose him at the end since he has to go back to sleep for 1000 years. The overall message is a good one: don’t judge something by the way it looks. No one really paid attention to the comet, which ended up being the dangerous thing, while they all freaked out about Gruff because he looked scary.

Overall, it was a good movie and worth watching. It’s available on multiple formats. You can get more info about it by visiting the Disney Fairies website.

I received the above mentioned move for free to help facilitate my review.  All opinions are 100% my own.
