Two weeks ago, I was sent a bottle of the new Purex No Sort for Colors laundry detergent. The detergent has Anti-Color-Transfer Technology™ which traps loose dye in the wash and prevents it from getting on to your laundry.
I’ve never used Purex before and was a bit dubious about it keeping colors from running. I normally use color catcher sheets in stuff that I know will run. I was also a bit leery about using it since we all have sensitive skin as well. So, I decided to try it in a load of towels first. Once dry, I noticed that the towels were a lot fluffier and had a pleasant smell. I don’t usually have any color running with towels, so I decided to give it a harder test.
The next load I did was my husband clothes. It’s mostly his work stuff (black pants, blue button up shirts) and regular stuff. However, I added in his jeans as well. I normally wash them by themselves since the color runs on several pairs no matter what you do. After the load ran, I tool everything out to put in the dryer. I checked over everything so see if the color ran but didn’t see anything. I check over everything after it dried and still didn’t find anything. I’m still not entirely sure how it works, but it does work.
Overall, I think it’s great. I’m definitely considering switching to this from my current detergent. It will also save me a lot of money since I won’t have to shell out for color catcher sheets anymore. It’s available in 50oz, 75oz, 100oz, &150oz, and is available in most stores. You can visit the Purex website for more information.
I receive the above mentioned product for free to help facilitate my review.
